Atrocious conditions. Neither team can measure a pass as the surface is so unpredictable. Players are losing their footing everywhere. Someone could get a bad injury with some of these challenges. Ampadu gets booked for a shirt pull after three minutes, but since then it’s been open season on Welsh players.

I wouldn’t draw any conclusions about the ability or limitations of anyone tonight - it’s like a random parks game in monsoon conditions.

Never a penalty, arm right by his side. I wonder if having driving rain in their faces is a factor. Lucky to be ahead. Need to be more compact second half. The pragmatic thing would bring on JJ for Cooper and switch to a 4-2-3-1. Is Bellamy willing to be pragmatic? We'll find out...

Sorry, but Bellamy got it wrong when he said ‘that’s the worst we’ll be’ on Friday night, because tonight we’ve been far less composed & are getting over-run almost everywhere.

I’m not having that the conditions are affecting us more than them, but I am appalled by the referee.

The next goal needs to be ours, or I swear to god we’ll be hanging on, or losing before 9:45pm.

We need to stary playing the pitch and conditions a lot better. Sod the fancy football around our own box. You cannot play like that in those conditions no matter how committed you are to that style of play.

That first half was the polar opposite of Friday night in that we’ve been extremely clinical, but played poorly.

Cooper’s done nothing to change my preconceived idea of him not being good enough coming into the game, but I guess he should be given the benefit of the doubt on his first start in extremely difficult conditions. Koumas hasn’t impressed and looks much slower than I thought he was, although again the same benefit of the doubt should apply. This has probably been the worst I’ve seen Ampadu play for us, whilst we look really nervy in defence (in contrast to their much more purposeful play on Friday night). I think this game also shows that Davies is now a much better CB than a LB. Also don’t like Neco playing that far forward, I don’t think he offers enough in that position. Much better as an attacking full back / wing back.

Wilson’s been the main positive, he’s been great

I know its difficult, but Cooper looks a liability who is nowhere near this level. Hope James comes on soon

Can't believe the game could be called off. When there is a clear margin between two sides after a certain amount of time then it is unfair to replay a match. Hopefully we avoid that

Huge positive from tonight is Bellamy utilising his squad more in these 2 matches than Page would over an entire campaign.

This pitch is definitely a leveller , no fancy stuff let’s get back to basics and play the safe passes .

He should never ever referee certainly an international fixture again.


He would be more suited to the Sunday league but even that is debatable..


I know the weather conditions are bad but some of the tackles/challenges would not look out of place on a rugby pitch.

Yep time for Harris the way this is going. Moore looking a little tired, and Montenegro looking a bit more tired too. JJ giving us a bit more control in the middle and we've seemed to be more settled these last 10 mins

Still really tough conditions to be playing in tho!
