Yesterday a new guy joined our football team and I noticed he had a Walsall jumper on. I went over to talk to him and he said he had moved down a few weeks earlier. I asked him if he knew much about Bradshaw and he said he is a season ticket holder at Walsall and that Bradshaw was outstanding and that he's the beat ST in the league. He then said he was in the players lounge after a game a few weeks ago. Apparently Tom was there, and he found out that David Cotterill had pulled out of the squad injured and had been replaced by Wes Burns. The guy said Tom shouted "what the fuck have i got to do to earn a call up"? Then the players began to take the piss and gave him some jip over his reaction. Not sure how much truth is in that but why would he lie? Maybe- and this is quite clever from Coleman if it's anywhere near the truth- he's trying to push Bradshaw even harder to achieve, trying to make him angry? So when he does finally get in the squad (surely soon?) he'll be like 'I'll fucking show you!'β¦?

Good on him. I would be furious too if I was him that Wes Burns got in ahead of him. At least he shows a luttle fire in his belly. Hopefully he continues to score

Should be in the squad for friendly He should be in the bloody first XI, not just in the squad. Can he really offer as little as Vokes did against Andorra? That was a poor team we were playing and Vokes was literally just a body on the pitch. Terrible how he couldn't even get a shot on target.

Disappointing vokes was agree, he had best opportunity to get 90 min and bang in a goal or 2 . Never in the game imoa

I was under the impression that Wes Burns is a wide attacking player, as is Coterill.
If so, that would be the reason Burns got called up rather than Bradshaw, who is a striker.
If Church or Vokes pulled out and Burns got picked instead then Bradshaw could rightly feel aggrieved

Burns has put some good performances in for Bristol City this season and as you say, he was more of a like-for-like replacement for Cotterill. I was a bit surprised to see him get a call up though, especially as he's been an important player for the u21s lately.

Terrible how he couldn't even get a shot on target. 1 week before Bosnia, had checked out Burnley's game away to Rotherham. Vokes had a good game and thought "he's in good shape, he's got Burnley's second and a brilliant strike that had come off the bar, Coleman has to put him in against Andorra." Wish I'd not checked out that game now and Coleman had not put him in the side.

Fantastic to see him get a call up, and he's clearly delighted - he just posted a picture of the squad on Instagram with the caption "Proudest moment in football." C'mon!!

There are a number of things to come out of Bradshaw's selection:
He will get to know the squad and the atmosphere within it. The squad will get to know him and hopefully will accept him. He can show what he can do, in training and if selected to play. He will be told what the expectations are for the squad. What their expectations are for him.

Nice interview, hope he gets game time next Friday. Clearly a proud Welshman and interestingly said he regrets his decision to pull out of an u21 squad a few years ago. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34734226

Clearly a proud Welshman and interestingly said he regrets his decision to pull out of an u21 squad a few years ago. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34734226 Yeah, I think he deserves a fresh start. I personally didn't have much time for him when he said he wasn't going to play for the under 21s anymore. Then someone on these forums (not sure if it was ever confirmed) said that he was showing attitude and openly shouting in a bar that he should be called up instead of Burns (playing in a different position if I remember rightly) I was beginning to think he was getting to big for his boots considering he has only played in the lower levels and I didn't want disruptive influences in the squad. However, maybe if he has game time against Holland and does well then everyone can put these incidents behind them and look to the future.

Would rather see Lawrence play rather than Bradshaw.
Bradshaw hasn't been banging them in lately anyway

I'd like to see Bradshaw given some game time - hopefully at least 30 minutes. Having seen the Dutch projected starting 11 - we need to go with a strong team otherwise it could be a painful evening. In case you hadn't heard Depay was drafted in after all. Up front and in midfield the Dutch are very strong, their probable team is: Cillessen; Tete, Bruma, Van Dijk, Blind; Wijnaldum, Clasie, Sneijder; Robben, Huntelaar, Depay. The last 8 players in that list are all more than decent.

So we're probably looking at: ...........Hennessey ..Chester Williams Davies Gunter Allen Ledley Taylor ......Joniesta Lawrence .............Church ----------Huntelaar Memphis------------Robben -----------Sneijder ------Clasie----Wijnaldum Blind--Bruma--VanDijk--Tete -----------Cillessen

The author details his bias at the start but presents a good argument for Bradshaw. What did the coaching team think of Bradshaw's in training and did he fit in with the rest of the squad? These are the answers we will find out when the next squad is announced.

Another goal for Bradshaw yesterday. He's being linked with a move to various Championship teams and to Rangers, hmm. I think he'd be the second Welshman to ever play for Rangers?
I hope he moves to a Championship club in January. He'll need to get 10+ goals at that level for any chance to get in the squad for the euros though I think.
Bale, Vokes, Robson-Kanu, Lawrence, Bradshaw/Church. .... that's alright.

Hope he doesn't go to Rangers. It wouldn't be step up and Scottish teams aren't even nailed on Europa League qualifiers these days. Since Ledley went to Celtic the SPL has deteriorated further in quality, and Rangers aren't even an SPL team at this moment in time.
Cardif would be a good move. Solid Championship team, offers something different to their current strikers, would get game time. Chance of being promoted through the play-offs maybe.
