It will be interesting to have an idea on numbers. If they are being forced into opening the top tier, I would have thought that would be way over £25k? Including the extension, there is a capacity of over 33k: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiff_City_StadiumIf not full, would be a great boost to have 30k there. Apparently the lower tier holds about 24k, as there's the upper tier in the Grandstand that isn't on the seating plan, so who knows how well that has sold. Hopefully it's pretty full. Remember some seats will be lost to segregation/individual too. Probably 20k Welsh fans on the lower tier altogether. Have to bear in mind as well with the 33k that will include the 400 blocks of the Ninian stand which haven't gone on sale yet. Assume they will if all the 500s sell out?

Yes, the middle block of the Ninian *could* go on sale if the top tier sells out. We now know the top tier of Grandstand has sold out on corporate sales. As mentioned in TT thread, capacity for this game could be around 30k.

Looks like they are going to need to put a couple more sections on sale in the top deck. Middle all gone bar 5 or 6, the other two both about three-quarters sold. How many seats are still to be released? They have done this well by selling in tranches giving the impression that not many seats are left I think they sold in tranches because they didn't expect a big crowd! Saves on stewarding costs if only certain blocks are used.

Quite a logistical job for the FAW now. 22k advance sales, which would have been posted out to home and away fans. That means any additional tickets over the 22k will have to be handed out at at the ticket booths on the night. If we get a crowd of 30k that means between 3k and 8k tickets will need to be collected on Friday. Better get down there early if you're collecting on the night.

Us real fans buy tournament tickets or well in advance at least! I really hope we can break the 30k barrier if the capacity will allow it. To get a stadium record if we can would be awesome.

Already guaranteed to be a Stadium record for a Wales match.

Last time Wales got over 24k for a home match at a club ground was Scotland in September 1985 at Ninian Park (39k). Since then we've played 47 matches at either Ninian Park, the Vetch Field, the Racecourse, Anfield, Liberty Stadium, Cardiff City Stadium and Parc Y Scarlets without once breaking the 24k barrier.

All of the following could and should boost sales now: - Corporate sales (top tier of Ninian) - they could be very good. - Sales to clubs under the kick back scheme - this should see a lot of extra seats sold. - The Grandstand and Ninian Lower stands selling out (as seems likely by the end of this week). Likely to lead to a further spike in sales from fans who don't want to miss out. - All the fans who've said thegoing buying in advance. - Big marketing drive from the FAW - Squad announcement (especially if Bale and Ramsey are in). - Bale's arrival in Wales. This was my post from 23rd September: Ramsey aside, all of this has happened!

The FAW marketing campaign is getting all the credit on Twitter. I am disappointed they put an advert in the Super Cup & Cardiff programmes but none of Swansea's or any other of the Welsh clubs. other than that it has been decent, but feel a ticket link with all those 'StrongerTogether' posters could have added more advance sales

Only about 300 tickets currently on sale.
511 - approx 140 512 - approx 120 513 - approx 20 514, 515, 108/109, 123/124, 125/126 and 127 - only 20 in total
I'm fairly sure that 516 and 517 will go on sale soon - so that's another 1200, bringing the total to 1500 available tickets. And that could be it, only 1500 left.
It would make sense to put the 400s on sale - so that could be another 1700, plus about 125 former TTs.
At an absolute max, there are only 3300 left.

The marketing campaign has been spot on imo. You don't really want to be constantly driving sales techniques down people's throats using marketing, as that tends to piss them off. Their use of social media has also been excellent.
I have seen some people who've been complaining on twitter/facebook etc about the exclusively english 'together stronger' slogan, but then again it's filling a stadium so who cares imo. I am first language Welsh as well, but this slogan has definitely captured the publics imagination and has been integral in driving the campaign.
I also wonder like others, why have they decided to go all out this time. Maybe they themselves actually believe we can do it this time.....!

For those on social media one last push is needed to try and get the top tier sold
Would be great if we can virtually sell out before the game as if the weather is like it is today the walk up will be small

They are going pretty quickly, looks like they will all be gone by lunchtime tomorrow.
Are there any more to be released.

Will be fantastic to have 25 000 plus in the stadium given some of the previous attendances. Any thing over that would be a real bonus. We will increase again if the performances and results go our way.

Block 414 has just gone on sale, although only about a third of it. Unsure why as there are still lots left in 517.

really good news and there is usually a walk up crowd on the night. Walk up crowd v Azerbaijan in opening 2010 World Cup qualifier was 7,000 (total crowd was 18,000). Many more gave up on the queues too. If that's repeated tomorrow, then there will be people turned away.

If you do need to collect tickets, get down to the Stadium as early as you can. Pick up your tickets before going to the pub. If there are 8k people queuing up for collections at 7pm, that is going to a long queue.

Only two seats left in 414. 411 now been opened for sales. A bit odd - you would have thought that 413 and 415 would have been put on first.
