Just went on the ticketing site hoping to snap up some prime seats in the lower grandstand but it seems only the Canton and Ninian are on sale. Bit disappointing!

Usually only the Ninian open for games, they opened the Canton for Slovenia due to sales. I guess the answer is buying tickets to all of the games, if we're getting crowds of 20k plus they may open it for future games...

I assumed it would be the same as circa 10 years ago when the men's teams were getting crowds of approx 10k - Grandstand was always open then.
I was thinking we'd be looking at an attendance of 15-20000 for this one but maybe I'm being over-optimistic?

www.nfsbih.ba/vijesti/nogomet-z/a-reprezentacija-z/poraz-protiv-velsa/Here you will find a few pictures from the last Wales-Bosnia game in June 2018. Wales won 1-0 thanks to a 62nd minute goal from Kayleigh Green. In the 55th minute, Helen Ward's penalty was saved by our keeper Hasanbegovic. I don't know if there are any video highlights from that game. If there are, I couldn't find them.

Only just getting around to checking the playoff structure for the women's team, so am I right in saying that we have to play a minimum of 3 GAMES before qualifying?

Only just getting around to checking the playoff structure for the women's team, so am I right in saying that we have to play a minimum of 3 GAMES before qualifying? At least 2 games (2 wins) and possibly 3 games depending on other results, depending on goal difference, depending on previous results (goals scored, points collected) in the qualifying group and the number of goals scored against Bosnia and Switzerland in the playoffs. For example, in Bosnia's case, even if we beat both Wales AND Switzerland, we can at best qualify for the intercontinental playoff (3rd game) due to our horrendous goal difference.

Bosnia's squad without the captain and main striker Nikolic has been confirmed.

Won't pretend to understand the play off structure, but looking forward to the game on Thursday and to another record crowd.
Worth noting 7.15pm kick off instead of 7.45pm which has almost caught me out in the past. Easy to assume it's a 7.45 or 8 on a weeknight.

Very open game so far! Some really good chances, hope it's not going to be one of those nights!
Nice to see Lev Yashin in goal for B&H...

Why are they playing in the new kit and not the ladies kit that was released only a few months ago?

Why are they playing in the new kit and not the ladies kit that was released only a few months ago? Obvious. Women’s is inferior. Looks like a training top. They shouldn’t get mugged off. Good on them for demanding the better top.

Proud of the girls, they gave all they have. I wish Wales all the best against Switzerland.

Diolch and thanks for your contribution to the forum in the lead up to this game. Bosnia defended heroically and held a very disciplined line, never seen so many offside calls!

To be honest, this was by far our best game in years, I didn't think they had it in them. It's inconceivable to me that this is the same team that drew Malta and Azerbaijan away from home, lost to Montenegro at home, got thumped by Denmark etc. because I knew they are capable of much more than that. Prompts to the assistant referee for getting all those calls correct in such a short interval.

So what is the deal now?
EDIT
I think I'm getting it now. As both Portugal AND Scotland have two points more than us coming into this, we need all these to happen: 1/. To beat the Swiss
2/. and that either Scotland or Portugal win their game 3/. and that they only win their game on penalties.
If we win on Tuesday, but 2 and 3 don't happen - then we go to New Zealand for one final game...
Ummmmm ;=(

Yeah don't even try understanding this playoff system, it's a total mess. You can win both games and you still often need 2-3 things to go your way, meaning other results.

Fortunately we won't beat Switzerland so the vagaries of the play off system won't apply to us.

Ummmmm ;=( This is the conclusion that I also came to, although I think we need to win by 2 goals to overtake Portugal or Scotland on goal difference. Unless they decide to award 2 points for a win on pens rather than 3?. Or maybe they base it on scores after 90 mins.

Personally, I don't see any reason to be concerned about the intercontinental playoffs - I don't think we need to stress about what we would need to do to avoid that as it's by far the easier of the two upcoming hurdles. We would be favorites by a significant margin to beat any of the teams we could play in the intercontinental element. But it's roles reversed against the Swiss. They're a top side, playing at home, having just had a rest while we were slogging it out for 120mins. It would be a massive upset if we beat them, so hopefully the team's entire focus will be on that

If we win that we should be very confident of qualifying

Fortunately we won't beat Switzerland so the vagaries of the play off system won't apply to us. It’ll go down to the wire If Switzerland are any good then I can’t see it. Last night was an excruciating watch against what was supposed to be the weakest team. They would get into a good position then it would just fall apart with some really poor stuff in the final third: decision making, final ball, just really bad. I was sat there thinking that Dan James’s delivery would have been a big improvement! Well done to them for getting through but it’s hard to see them going any further I’m afraid.

Thing is, we don't concede many goals. Compared to the other teams in the other play offs here's how we rank for goals conceded (discounting games against 6th so everything is equal)... Iceland 3 Switzerland 4 Ireland 4 Cymru 5 Portugal 9 Scotland 13 You can see our defense is in the same bracket as those 3 teams that auto qualified for round 2. I think that gives us a reasonable hope of keeping it at 0-0 for as long as we can, and maybe nicking a goal or taking it to pens
