What are paper tickets like now? Generic looking or?

Google Pay I would assume, it's what was used for the Albania game Oh, dear lord! That Google Pay lark was a right pain at the Albania game. Took two stewards a good ten minutes to help me download it. Hope its on my phone still ... and that my clever fone now knows that FAW want it to bleep again ...
Cardiff are using Google Pay as well, so I'd guess Wales will keep using it too

What are paper tickets like now? Generic looking or? Probably the same as always. I like a physical copy to look back on. Wouldn't mind them jazzing them up a bit if they're making us pay extra though!

Could get a bit emotional walking into the ground for a qualifier for the first time in 22 months. As well as the whole Cardiff match day experience. Bring it on.

Mad to think the last game I went to was Hungary (H) when we qualified. It certainly will be emotional, and I do think back to that performance and how electric we were. I think fans returning will be huge for us, bigger than a lot of people might think. I really think we can give energy to our performances again

A not-full CCS can be just as lifeless as any other stadium.

The 5k fans at the match v Albania was more about a day out in the sun than a game of football. I certainly hope we can get over 15k this time - but I wouldn't be surprised if its less ;-(

They haven't even opened it up to people without a campaign ticket yet I thought that the ticket sales for Albania were appalling. Of course it was a right ball ache to go to, but it does show even how fickle some fans are. We all know that the Welsh public will turn out in droves at an 'event' but this isn't capturing their imagination at the moment. I have friends that engage with Welsh international football at various levels and none of them seem particularly bothered with it at the moment. It is the way that we limped out of the Euros and I guess there is a big buzz at Wrexham and both Cardiff and Swansea have already had decent away days already. Don't think that even if we get close to qualification many will get excited about a winter world cup in Qatar. At the moment, I get the feeling that we will go back to 2013 esk levels of attendance with 11k to 20k per game. The only excitement that I am sensing about the Welsh international scene is that there is still the possibility of a boozy away trip this year.

A lot of attendances are not what they were pre Covid-19. Welsh fans have always been a very fickle bunch.
I also think the FAW have to be careful with some of the price increases.

I think your right although I'm also a little un enthusiastic about following Cardiff at the moment although the closing minutes at Peterboro in the week certainly gave me a lift. Ill keep an open mind about Estonia and if we're able to go then I'll probably go. I am looking forward to 2022 nations league and in particular the 4 fixtures at the beginning of June. Could give us a nice little away double header, roll on the draw. Cant see us qualifying for Qatar but if we do, then I'll probably go for much the same reason I went to Azerbaijan. These opportunities don't come along often enough.

Wow... not much positivity on here regarding a decent crowd v Estonia.
Yes, it's midweek, yes Estonia are the 5th seeds in the group, yes it's early days in the campaign, and we exited the Euros not amazingly well, so naturally not a massive tie that will pull in the more fair-weather fans.... but... tickets have only just gone on sale, people needed memberships bought before they announced tickets would be on sale (I would imagine even many hardcore away fans wouldn't have renewed with little prospect of going to any games), it's August and expensive times for people. Pay day for many will be this week or next week so many might well be waiting on that.
I have confidence there will be a more than respectable crowd for the game. The Canton pretty much 4 blocks have sold out and the Ninian is selling well in central areas.
We always have a last minute rush on tickets as well, plus two away games on the box before hand may convince people to attend.

Even if it doesn't sell out I'd be happy with just a figure in the high 20s. Would be a good atmosphere around that number. Also re: pricing, I'm sure the FAW have lost out on loads of money through the pandemic, I'm more than happy to pay a little more to support them

Adult ticket prices haven't increased. It's just there's no 20% off a lot of us are used to when buying tournament tickets.
It's still great value though.

It's about that time when I start counting down the games that Bale and Ramsey have before the internationals, and praying they don't get injured!
Just one game each to get through!
Hopefully Rodon will be fit too.

I don't think that's true, I didn't have a TT for the last set of qualifiers and bought individuals for the Canton at 20 quid each. 25 this time.

The standard of the majority of players on both sides is likely to be similar to a Carabao Cup 3rd round tie. Tickets need to be priced accordingly and should be £20 tops. Yes, FAW would have lost some money due to pandemic (however they would have also been generously paid for Euro 2020 qualification). However, a vast number of their ‘red wall’ have also been on furlough. I really don’t think that they have read the room.

I personally think £35 is good value for watching my country play an important game. The team under the FAW have given me some of the best experiences I've had in recent years watching Wales. I'd happily pay more than £35 for those experiences. Belgium (H) and Hungary (H) will stay with me forever. Priceless Also with all the travel costs associated with Euro 2020's ridiculous format I believe the FAW has actually lost money on qualifying for the tournament. Unless getting to the knockouts bumped up the fee

I think £35 is a bit steep if you're on a limited income, but then again, nobody is forcing anyone into the expensive seats. £25 is very reasonable for international football in my opinion, and on a personal note I've already saved a fortune by watching Euro 2020 at home!

I really can't see the attendance figure topping 15,000 - especially if we get a poor result against Belarus.

A hell of a lot of fans would have been on furlough for quite a while. £35 I think is quite expensive in these times to watch a lot of second rate players ( excluding the odd one or two).
As one fan mentioned the quality of football is usually that of a carabo cup match. Plus for some strange reason it’s all started to feel a bit stale I doubt the crowd will top 15k

Let's face it, individual circumstances aren't relevant so if you think paying 35 quid is reasonable it doesn't matter. The point is, 'floating voters' are WAY less likely to pay 35 quid than they are to pay 20, especially when the opposition is Estonia mid-week.
Low ticket prices have been a huge selling point in recent years so this jump feels really risky to me.

Everyone keeps saying £35 is too much... well feel free to pay £25 like I did for a different seat!
£25 for international football is incredibly cheap in my eyes; It's the first Wales home game without restrictions since Hungary in 2019, and it's cheaper than most Championship charge.
