I think Coleman will pick Brown as atleast he's got some recent international game time.

The other option is Kyle Letheren at Kilmarnock - who are 3rd in the SPL. Probably not quite ready - he is 24, but as he's only played about 6 1st team matches in his career - and none before this season. But he's playing at the highest level of all our keepers With the news of Myhill's injury Letheren should probably get a call-up if he's playing. Cookie should call up Brown, Letheren and OFW. Price on standby

On the subject of keepers here's a sobering thought that came to me the otehr day:
What if Hennessey can't force his way back into the Wolves first team?

Agreed; this is the kind of attitude and commitment we need in and around the squad.

On the subject of keepers here's a sobering thought that came to me the otehr day: What if Hennessey can't force his way back into the Wolves first team? Then its a damning indictment of the 'quality' of our keepers. Hard to imagine that goalkeeper could still be a problem position all those years ago when Wayne first appeared on the scene and then Myhill threw his lot in with us. Both of them have gone backwards since. I would have thought that Hennessey would get the first team spot at another championship club easily enough- but I really don't see him as a top class keeper in the future. For me what is potentially more sobering than whether he can get back into the Wolves side, is whether any prem clubs will be interested with him fit, on the bench and potentially a big wage on Wolves books for a championship side. You would think it would be a good opportunity for a club to take a gamble on him in January.....

Is he any good? ΑΠΟΕΛ need a goalkeeper, but is he good enough for a team that has ambitions of getting to the knockout rounds of the Champions League?

French Ligue 2, probably. Non-story, he won't get any better or develop more.

Christ hes 28! Really sorry to be so blunt about it but we need to start looking elsewhere for our reserve keepers. Its not even like hes in his infancy and has time to improve on last season. Knocking on the door of his 30s and just been relegated out of the league. Hes never gonna make it, Im sorry to say.

Surely Maxwell will get a call up soon.
What's happening with Letheren?

We're all over hyping this he just got relegated to confrence nonsense. We know he's good enough for league one and his own loyalty has stopped him being a championship player. Apart from Bale none of this abroad nonsense (sadly) comes true for us but as if you Owains not good enough for Cypriot league or someone like I dunno say Hereenven or Cottbus of the top of my head

This is a non-story.The headline says that he 'is interesting clubs abroad' but when you read it just says that he is 'prepared to move abroad'
Just because he is prepared to move abroad it doesn't mean that foreign clubs are interested.

It does seem that Wales is his primary concern - that article suggest he wants a club to stay in contention for a Wales shirt. That's very nice to hear, but of course isn't reason enough to pick him.

How do we know that? I would of just assumed if you'd turned down championship clubs when you were in league 1.....You've probably proven yourself at that level? No? ok lets just be pessimistic and point out he got relegated at league 2 this season despite the fact every out field player there was awful. www1.skysports.com/football/news/11733/8813917/williams-commits-to-tranmere

It probably depends on what sort of offers he was made by those Championship clubs...being offered good money and 1st team football is who different story from being offered pence to sit on the bench. The (legitimate imo) concern that most people on here seem to have is that at an age when most players are coming into their prime and have 'found their level', OFW has just been relegated into the 5th tier of English football. You can talk about commitment and bad luck all you want, but he's looking increasingly like a lower League 1/League 2 keeper at best. I'd love to see him get a move to a League 1 side who will be fighting for promotion next season (Millwall, Sheff Utd etc), but I won't hold my breath. Even if he does, would he start? We have two other keepers who are playing regularly at a higher level and, on the face of it, are now better bets than OFW to be long term members of our squad. It'll be interesting to see which, if either, of them get into the squad for Belgium.

Surely now guven the lack of depth and quality in the goalkeeping department we have to be trying everything to get Bond and Darlow on board!

Great club Inverness , when working up there used to go watch them play, bit cold mind but great town.
Good experience for the lad and maybe regular game time .
Inverness are one of the big clubs up there, 3 last season
