Your guess is entirely wrong. He had a 4-month layoff which led to him missing the 2nd and 3rd games. He's just missed the 4th and 5th having been withdrawn from the juve team the game before the international window, and yesterday didn't play in their first game following the international window. There is no evidence for you ridiculous, baseless assertions Nice try, but sorry, it’s indicative of a deeper lying issue either with fitness or club if you manage to miss a calendar year’s worth of international football despite still turning out for your club regularly in that time. At best, he is a proper sick note, at worst, he is being managed by his club during international breaks.

Oh dear, there seems to be a serious case of cognitive dissonance here. I've presented the facts, you've given baseless assertions. There's nothing more to add.

We shall agree to disagree, that is the beauty of forums! The acid test will be whether he is fit for the November games, won’t be a good look if he misses an entire campaign’s worth of games

Wow we really do have some melodramatic idiots in our fan base. He's 28. He's received injuries at unfortunate times this past year around the international breaks meaning he hasn't played for us. However, he played almost 40 games for arsenal last season and was brilliant, so much so that he won player of the year! He's played 5 times for juve this season and received rave reviews. For Wales, he played 7 out of 10 games in the world Cup qualifiers, he played 5 games in the euros, and he played 8 games in the euro qualifiers. Those are the facts you absolute plonkers. Jack Collison was 27. French legend Just Fontaine also retired at the age of 28. Alan Shearer & Jamie Carragher retired from internationals aged of 29. Injuries don't give a shit about how old you are. Given how prone he is to injury, what makes you think Ramsey is beyond the risk of early retirement?

Footballers, especially injury prone ones, retire from international football early. It’s just the way it is. To think Ramsey will go on giving us years or pull outs is mad. He will retire soonish because the writing is on the wall.

I'd put good money on Ramsey not retiring in the next 5 years. He's a really passionate Welshman. He loves his rugby, he was tweeting about the match first thing this morning. Yes he's extremely injury-prone, but he's been like that these last what 5-6 years? So why would he feel the need to retire now? He'll continue with niggly injuries for the rest of his career, which will be frustrating, but that's no different to how he's been for several years. Unless he suffers from something more significant than those niggly muscle strains, he won't retire

Unless he suffers from something more significant than those niggly muscle strains, he won't retire Sorry but I don’t see a correlation with support for the rugby team vs continuing to play international football. My own personal attitude would be that if I had earned more than enough from football I would say to hell with it and play for the national side as long as they want me, but we all know that footballers are not fans. He might have more than enough now but you wait, Ramsey like the rest will do what he can to continue to earn top dollar into his 30’s and with his injury record it will likely be a stipulation in his next contract (if it isn’t already in this one) that his international appearances are limited. Lots of assumptions there granted but it’s based on stuff we have seen before. International football is the whipping boy when contract talks roll round for the player approaching his 30’s.

Far to early to right Ramsey off.
He will hopefully be back for the 2 games in November.
He did everything to try and get fit and was in camp for a week. During that time he missed his twins first birthday. Dont care what you do for a living but that is real commitment.
So all you doom and gloomers have a day off

But I point to Jari Litmanen, one of the few top flight players I know of who set the standard for international football by declaring he would play international football as log as he was wanted. There is a reason why that is the rare exception than the norm these days. Too much money.

I don’t really understand why any fan would want Rambo to retire. Okay he’s missed our whole campaign so far, but why do you actively want to cut off your nose to spite your face? I’ll take every minute of Rambo I can get in a Wales shirt. Even if that means 5 games or less I’ll have him there. Even if we only have him for this final double header and he helps to get us over the line I’ll be over the moon.

I don't think anyone *wants* him to retire, it's just being realistic about what he is likely to do based on how footballers routinely retire early from international football. I'll be very surprised if he is still playing international football at 31.

I think he’ll definitely go to the end of the 2022 campaign, as he and Bale etc will want one last shot at getting us to a World Cup. Beyond that I think it does depend on a lot of factors whether or not he will continue. Impossible to predict at this stage. Juve’s cautious management of him could make him more durable over the course of the season, who knows.

Chillout gents, only having a laugh at Welshiron's dislike of Bradshaw.
Of course I wouldn't pick Bradshaw ahead of Ramsey! I'd pick him ahead of Vokes though.....but that's another argument for another day.

Dont dislike him just dont think he is good enough.
If he keeps scoring from now to November then he will be worth a place in the squad.

He was being rested for tonight according to that article Texan posted. Christ alive he’s going to be the most rested player in world football the way this move is panning out. Not that I’m jealous at being paid mega bucks to sit on yer arse, not at all.....

Euro 2016 was the only time I've seen the player as described on here.

Apparently he's clear of injury and scans show no muscular damage, but he could still feel discomfort in thigh as of yesterday.
Juve physios say they shouldn't take a risk and should work on strengthening his muscles until the feeling has gone.
Sarri's decision was to not risk him tonight.
