So if I want to ensure I sit with a friend (who has equal amount of points as me) are we better of applying for 2 on one membership or both as individuals? One each I'd imagine would be better. It sounds like you have a better chance if you're just applying for 1, so go for that.

Thought I read somewhere on here that an ID code (I think that's what it was called) would be produced after the first person applied that others in the same group could subsequently use to help ensure that mates can sit next/near to!! Can't find it mind...... Edit: Its covered in the Q&A notes that Corky posted up front on this thread!!

They were asking whether it was better to make the applications with separate membership details or to get 2 tickets under one membership. Thanks for adding mind.

Once one person as applied using his/her access number, which should arrive Sunday, that person will receive a personal ID number....that ID number can be used by others when they log in with their access number in order to get seats together...I would do it seperatly rather than putting 2 members on the application but its up to you.

Are there any advantages to applying for a follow my team ticket rather than each match individually (up to and including the final)? I'm struggling to think of any but worried I'm missing something.

Follow your team tickets are handy but you have to pay in advance for games that might not happen and you can only buy these in Cat 1 and Cat 3 which are not the cheapest. Looking at the portal, it seems that that is the case for the knock-out stage whether you go for Follow My Team or not (apart from being able to bid for the CAT2 and 4)? Obviously you can also then pick and choose your knock out games too.

Please clarify guys. Its best that as a gold member i apply on my own for the 2 tickets, and applying for the second ticket does not dilute my gold memberships, points status? Then once i have applied i am provided with a personal id that i can provide to my gold member mate to use when he makes his own application to hopefully ensure he sits with me? Ta for assistence. If the above is correct, then surely the 2500 of us who went to belgium will apply and in theory take 5000 tickets?

on the uefa website it gives you 2 options, FMT or individual matches. You can still purchase tickets for all rounds to the final on the individual option, so whats the difference between that and FMT, am I missing something obvious?

FMT option takes the pressure off because you can book tickets for all Wales games no matter how far they go GUARANTEED....the only problem is they take all the money when you book and if Wales get knocked out early you wait til the end of August for refunds.

Is the difference that if apply for FMT and get accepted i get all games, if i apply for all individually i may be say accepted for say 2 games and declined for the rest?

IMPORTANT UPDATE JUST IN FROM FAW
Just had an update from UEFA relating to knock out stage tickets. There is no option to apply during the knock out stage as originally understood, these tickets can only be applied for during the dec-Jan sales window through the Follow-Your-Team ticket.
sO IF YOU ONLY APPLY FOR INDIVIDUAL TICKETS YOU CAN ONLY GET THOSE FOR THE FIRST 3 QUALIFYING GAMES.

So if you intend to go to only 1 or 2 group games, and then go back for a later stage, i guess there is no option through FAW membership to do that. I.e. i have to buy a follow your team, then try to sell most of them back through the resale site?

Not disrespecting your info Corky, it's always appreciated but if it's true from your latest update then i cant see how its all going to work unless everybody gets a FMT. Again, nothing against you, i know your only passing info on from other sources, thanks.

Ok just come off the phone from Lucy and the situation is as follows.
You can buy 2 tickets for every game in either Criteria Follow my team or individual games but why would you do that if you intend trying to go to all games?
If you are committed and able to go to all games then you should definitely go for the Follow my team option and if we get knocked out so be it, we will get refunds in August.
If you can only get time off for the first part of the tournament you could order tickets for Match one, Match two, match three and maybe Round of 16 you would just have to pay for those then and if we were knocked out after 3 games you would only have to wait to be refunded for the one game
If you can only get time off for more of the tournament you could order tickets for Match one, Match two, match three Round of 16 and Quarter finals you would just have to pay for those then and if we were knocked out after 3 games or 4 games you would only have to wait to be refunded for any games not played by Wales
The problem is that if you apply individually for tickets to say the the quarter finals and somehow we reach the final you would not be able to get tickets whereas if you chanced the follow the team ticket and were successful in getting it you would be guaranteed no matter what.
The situation is you have to decide in this portal what choices you want to make, you cannot buy individual tickets after this portal through the FAW system.
Lucy is working Sunday sorting the access numbers out and will try to answer e mails.

You can buy 2 tickets for every game in either Criteria Follow my team or individual games but why would you do that if you intend trying to go to all games? One reason people may go foR individual rather than FMT is because with individual you can select CAT 4 (cheapest option) where as FMT you can only select CAT 3 or 4.
