so guys,
may I ask what members are planning to do with their second ticket please ?
as a non-member long standing TT holder, I would greatly appreciate applying for a FYT ticket with you.

If I do get any spare 2nd tickets then I'll offer them here first rather than sell back via UEFA.
Of course this depends on me getting a ticket in the first place...something I'm not confident of now despite having a membership number, two TTs and 2 aways in the last 2 campaigns.

That's 19 or 22 points depending on whether you've had memberships for both campaigns or just the 1. I had 19 points and was in the second criteria for Bosnia. From that point of view you should be ok but I'm not sure they will go with the points accumulated as being the first basis of deciding
Somewhere along the way I've managed to get myself a second fan number which seems to be connected to my log in. I had a terrible shock when I looked on my account and had no booking history.

I got tickets for belgium away so consider i have an excellent chance of tickets, indeed i will be in some shock if this proves not to be the case. The allocations at the 3 stadiums means that, in theory, the 2500 who got tickets for belgium will apply again removing anything from 2500 to 5000. And thats within the allocation. I stand to be corrected on my assumption but can't see what has changed?

It could be there are members who have a good history (3 campaigns and TT) who could also come into the reckoning? All this thinking is making my head hurt

I think, but might be wrong, that the Follow My Team and pricing category variables come in to play.

I stand to be corrected on my assumption but can't see what has changed? A lot depends on how the 'second' tickets are allocated. Eg - lets say everyone that got tickets for Belgium applies for 2 each - thats 5k tickets gone straight away. Add in a few regular members that didn't attempt to travel to Belgium and that is a significant chunk. If all of the tickets are allocated according to loyalty then the allocation will go a lot further (eg if people only get 'second' tickets once all of the members have been given a ticket each). Either way I think some people are going to be pissed off. Personally I hope you are right as I also got tickets for Belgium! Edit: On reflection - a clear line on this from the FAW would be incredibly helpful. They must know how they are going to handle applications for two tickets.

I think they are going to confirm once applications have been made.

If you are correct then i suspect faw will count up all the gold members eligible first and assign 1 ticket. At the end of that they will then assign requested second tickets. If this is not the case then you're also right, it will become something of a lottery and seriously bring into question loyality.

I'm just glad that the FAW has some sort of system in place because when you look at the majority of the countries' ticket pages it's very much open to anybody - you only have to be a resident or a national of a country like Slovakia to be able to apply. It's only the bigger nations like Germany, England etc that have a system in place.
I'm quite apprehensive about the possibility of not getting tickets and I know many will be disappointed but at least I know that in the majority of cases it will be proper Welsh football fans that will be at the games. In an ideal world one ticket per member would have been better for all members but we could be in a much worse position.
Look at the below tweet that I spotted on Gullivers twitter account from a Welsh 'fan'. Without this system we could have seen a stadium full of rugby tops and daffodil hats.
"Right then, @gulliverstravel how do we get Wales tickets for Russia, Slovakia or England. Bearing in mind I've done 2 Lions tours with you?"

Personally feel it should be one ticket for one member as otherwise the second ticket could end up in the hands of someone who hasn't been to any games.
As a gold member with a TT and with two aways in Andorra and Cyprus I think I stand a decent chance (I hope!). If they based it on Belgium I am screwed, I couldn't go.

FFS Interestingly it doesn't look like he managed to make it to any of the qualifiers judging by his twitter feed, although he did get to a few games at the RWC so fair play to him

I don't think it'll be based on Belgium - that just tends to get used on here as a benchmark as we were oversubscribed despite a reasonably large allocation, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I think you're not taking into account that the loyality you to accrue to get a belgium ticket is still higher than someone who has 1 membership and went to several away games in this current campaign. If thats incorrect then faw will be giving priority to those fans who have turned up over the last 12 months or so? Confused? You will be....

Just read this from the UEFA FAQ website regarding purchasing multiple tickets:
"As allocations will take place on a match-by-match basis, it is possible for an application to be entirely successful, partially successful or not successful at all. That means that you may be allocated tickets for all, some or none of the matches you applied for. However, if you are allocated tickets for a match, you will always be allocated the full number of tickets you requested for that match. That means that you will never receive fewer tickets than you requested for a specific match if you are successful in the ticket(s) allocation".
Please note the fourth sentence which states that "you will never receive fewer tickets than you requested for a specific match if you are successful". So, if you have applied for 2 tickets, this strongly suggests to me that this is an ALL OR NOTHING chance, more likely to be NOTHING! Based on this statement, as a Gold Member with a qualifying TT and a couple of aways in the bag, I'm now considering only applying for ONE ticket as the + 1 'guest' option appears, from what has been stated above, to be diluting my chances. Have I understood this right and does anyone agree with me? Thanks.

Really want some clarity over this 2 ticket business?? FFS Yep think we could do with a clear line from the FAW on this asap. No doubt a lot of people will apply for two without thinking about it and if their application gets denied on that basis they'll be raging

If you think you have plenty of loyalty ie 3 memberships including the current one and a few away trips this campaign then you would not have anything to worry about but if in doubt just order one ticket if you think it gives you a better choice...there is no clear answer to this because we have no idea how many of the 14,000 members will apply.

Out of curiosity, it would be interesting to know how many of the 14,000 Joined after we'd qualified.

Corky, I really appreciate the work you do like others on here so please don't take this personally - but I really don't think that's a good enough response. The FAW should surely assume that all 14k members, or close to, will apply. We'll definitely be oversubscribed. Let's assume for a second that 14k apply for the 5k tickets and that they all apply for two tickets each (so a total of 28k tickets requested). What will the FAW do? Will the 'top' 2.5k people get two tickets each? Or will anyone that has applied for two tickets get their applications thrown out? If I was the most loyal fan with an impeccable booking history, but applied for two tickets instead of one, my whole application could potentially be rejected? There must be an idea in mind of how these 'second' tickets are going to be allocated and its not fair to keep people in the dark. No one knows which is the 'better choice' hence the confusion.

So the two questions needing answers -
» Does one have a better chance when applying if you go for follow my team, one ticket per individual game or two tickets per ind game? (All things being equal!)
» If the top 2500 qualifiers go for 2 tickets will that mean there will be 5000 sold before the person 2501 in the ranking gets one?

My understanding of the second question is that if you qualified for 1 ticket (eg you would be in the top 2,500 on loyalty) you would get 2 tickets if you applied for them. If the first 2500 applied for 2 tickets each, I think that member 2,501 would be screwed in that example
I still don't understand the difference between FMT and individual really, but it just feels right that if you intend to watch the group and knockout games you go for FMT. Perhaps a bit simplified, but that is surely UEFA's intention for that? I think individual games are intended for people who can only do 1 or 2 games at best, but I appreciate there looks like a sort of loophole exists.
