In my mind it should all be based on priority criteria based on points for all home/away games in this campaign. 2 points for an away game and 1 for a home. This leaves a maximum of 15 points for this qualifying campaign. Tickets then distributed based on this points scale. It goes without saying that the pre-req is that you need to be a gold member. Surely it's the fairest (and should be simplest) way of distributing tickets Agree. So following on from this point, would it not be easier (and fairer) for the FAW to prepare a "rank order" of entitlement for all Gold Members based on their match attendance history, and then email everyone who meet the minimum requirements (points) offering a date by which they can purchase ONE ticket only. If Members don't take up the offer by an agreed cut-off date then the next batch of Gold Members should be offered the tickests and so on, untill all tickets have been sold. Basically FAW to offer Gold Members tickets based on their match attendance history.

I got tickets for belgium away so consider i have an excellent chance of tickets, indeed i will be in some shock if this proves not to be the case. The allocations at the 3 stadiums means that, in theory, the 2500 who got tickets for belgium will apply again removing anything from 2500 to 5000. And thats within the allocation. I stand to be corrected on my assumption but can't see what has changed? Do we know how many applied for Belgium in total? I also got tickets for this game and would love to think I am in the 2500 for the Euro applications. I put the idea that as I got a ticket for Belgium away I would hope I stand a good chance of a ticket to Lucy and she told me that that was pretty irrelevant and different criteria would apply. By that point I had decided I was 'blowing in the fookin wind'. One way or another the second ticket has screwed a lot of fans who by most standards could be considered pretty loyal. But there is loyal and more loyal and those who's mate is even more loyal. This is a right fuck up if other countries have limited tickets to 1 per member. I suspect that FAW know this but the option to go to the 1 ticket is long gone.

I'm sure they have a system in place already, unfortunately they won't tell us what it is!
There is still time as they won't even begin allocating until after the window is closed
I'm also sure they'll be very fair and regular attendees will be rewarded

I'm pretty sure England have a fair loyalty system where fans know how many loyalty points they've picked up, as do some of the top premier league clubs. I'm sure that I should be able to get a FMT ticket for the Euros considering the aways I've been to (3 this campaign), but still.

One point per game would be fine for me as I went to 7 games but I do think that extra credit should be given for those that travel away from home all over Europe.

To be fair I think the way that the FAW are dealing with the tickets is pretty poor. There is understandably lots of worry and second guessing going on with fans over what the criteria will be. The FAW have given next to no information. Any information is trickling down through Corky which is not the way it should be done. Obviously it is the first time that the FAW has been through this process and I think they are showing their naivity. I'm sure that the English or Irish FA's would have given some advice as they are likely to be having the sames issues as wales but on a larger scale with bigger fan bases. I wonder if the FAW has asked for help or if they are trying to go it alone

Its too late to think certain systems could be introduced as i think corky's original email stated that faw were just going to clarify the situation rather than open it up for discussion. It is very disappointing that this obvious flaw in the system was not highlighted at the various meetings though. The simplest way could have been to relate the number of freebies (thats what the second ticket is) to the size of the allocation. So if we had say 10k it was an extra ticket but in the event it was not its 1 each member. Oh well theres always russia.......

That would have made a lot of sense, basically it would have been a hell of a lot clearer if it was one per person. Allowing people to apply for two has made the situation as clear as mud.

Very few people are going to be silly enough to apply for two when nobody knows what the procedure is. Relax

I'm going to apply for two and give my spare ticket to Sandy Tosvig, just to prove a point.
I'm not sure what my point is.

We've been very unlucky in terms of the stadia we are playing in. Toulouse is the smallest ground and Lens is joint 2nd. We don't play in any of the 5 biggest.
On the other hand, Iceland for instance play in Marseille (67000) and Stade de France - the two biggest grounds.
UEFA have allowed FAW to restrict ticket sales to members only. I'm sure they wouldn't have allowed a system that left a chance of tickets being left unsold so I suspect 2 per member may have been the price to pay to avoid a free for all. If these decisions had been made after the venues were known things may have been different.

I think wrong to say FAW have dealt badly with this they are dictated to by UEFA and people post that England as shining example .they are for not having FYT tickets as loyalty can be given across each fixture but they dont tell you if you qualify at all they have said they will work down cap count for 70 percent of tickets to most loyal without ballot and then 20 percent for next with at least one game and do a ballot for these and then for last 10 percent is a free for all ballot for everyone who didnt get in 1 or 2 The Other is you can see your ranking. but still only leave guesswork whether you would get a ticket which is the same as our FA As others have said this is about selling tickets Uefa want to ensure all tickets go The reason we have a problem its our first tournament and seen as once in lifetime chance and finals are near i dont see same kind of interest if this was our second finals and in a place further afield same as if we make world cup in Russia dont see ticket situation being as divisive as this

I don't think it's too late to change it to one ticket per member, which I believe it should be. The thing is tickets are going to be at a very high price on the black market for the England game especially. Giving two tickets to someone who then sees online how much tickets are going for will tempt them to sell it on to the highest bidder.
One ticket per member is the fairest system and for those under age your time will come again, preferably not in 57 years time.

No Not at this stage it may come to light This is the main problem theyre is a chance that someone with borderline loyalty gets turned down for FYT but someone with less loyalty get single tickets this is why knowing ranking like england would help and knowing ticket number for FYT would allow people to make more educated choice between FYT and single tikcets. this has been elimated by England by not having FYT

But surely if under 18's have a unique code because they are a member they can apply for their own tickets using another persons credit card? Have I missed something?

For those nations that have no loyalty scheme for place in tickets, the combination of FMT and individual match tickets works. After all, if both sets of tickets are issued by random ballot, you put your application in and hope for the best.
The problem with using the two track system in tandem with a loyalty scheme is that if FMT tickets are over-subscribed, then some very loyal fans might just miss out on FMT, but then end up with no tickets at all.

I think what they are saying by there calculations they think two ticket principle will not adversely effect your chances of being successful this is like in bosnia they didnt make it collection and confirm identity where people with loyalty who were not travelling could buy and then hand off to someone with less they didnt envisage this being a major issue
They think majority who buy two will be buying for other people with loyalty or spouse/kids
so they think people buying for people who have never attended home or away will be very low

Also junior membership may have code and good loyalty travelling with dad/mum but there ticket will have to be bought by adult and thus two tickets bought nullifiy junior loyalty as they loyalty cant be used unless being bought with adult ticket so one less to put in rankings

Except i had email from faw saying applying for the 2 tickets wojld make no difference? Wtf? Could you copy/paste what they said in their email, please? Here you go: We’re not able to do it that way I’m afraid. It’s in UEFA’s rules that an order has to be entirely successful or entirely unsuccessful. So you couldn’t apply for two tickets and only receive one. please can you clarify. In the event that matches are oversubscribed will you assign 1 ticket to qualifying gold members before you start to assign the second tickets? Many thanks again On 13 Dec 2015 15:33, "Tickets" <Tickets@faw.co.uk> wrote:

Like you, I understand that the two ticket is a UEFA policy. But I don't think that they couldn't have handled it any WORSE if they had tried. The fact that (a) this week is the first time that the FAW have made the fans aware of the two ticket policy (b) it came via a FSF representative and not the FAW (c) they seem to be unsure of the actual policy now (judging by the poster who phoned the ticket office).
I think that the first UEFA ticketing training was shortly after the play-offs, so they would have known about the two ticket rule then, if not long before then. I think part of the anxieties of some of the forum members is because this isn't the first time that the FAW have moved the goalposts when it comes to ticket allocation.

Also in regards above
Maybe FAW could say that 90 percent of tickets will be done purely on loyalty and last 10 percent in each category is a ballot on all members who have atleast one home or away game on record this campaign This would mean everyone who is a member and attended a game would have some kind of chance of securing a ticket

Post by Gary Williams on Dec 16, 2015 8:56:17 GMT
friendlies should count in overall loyalty as said netherlands away was used for bosnia
my point all long is the FAW job is to promote the welsh national football team thats goes for serving loyal fans for long time and ones who started coming more recently and even ones who just in this campaign. And worst result for FAW is people stop going because of ticket allocation
thats why i posted how england where doing it first they took out problem with having two ticketing schemes by not having FYT
secondly large chuck going to long loyal fans and then smaller chuck going to people with small loyalty and lastly to people who have only one game under theyre belt
i think FAW should be looking along these lines because at the moment feels like loyalty is only decider therefore there some people who have no chance and wasting theyre time applying and this would not be a good legacy for future attendances at games
Mind I think it would be a bit absurd that someone who has a membership for this campaign and didnt go to any games but went to netherlands home friendly should count if they did a small chuck free for all so everyone had a chance of something
