Things a lot better than they used to be. In 2000, Qatar game was confirmed in Jan for a month later and that was one hell of a mad scramble. 17 of us went Ade, were you in the same hotel as the players? Great story about Clemo trying to get the Wales fans, who were checking in to the same hotel as the team, chucked out before they even checked in. Allegedly Mark Hughes tried to get involved and was told by a Wales fan that this did not concern him, eventually telling him to feck off. |

Re Ukraine v Romania. FutbolUkraine tweeted this without clarifying clear contradiction in info. He/she has Since claimed to have checked it with Ukr officials and our game is still on. But I will book when FAW confirm it.

The FFU President has named rivals with whom Ukrainians will hold friendly matches in spring. On the 24th of March our team will play with the team of Cyprus, and on the 28th of March – with Wales at the NSC "Olympiyskiy" in Kiev.

how much longer can this go on for! If game doesn't go ahead now it shows the Welsh FA have no loyalty what so ever to the travelling fans. I remember when we played Holland in 2014 (June) the fixture was confirmed in January.

less and less as time goes on and flight prices increase. The less time they give fans to prepare the less likely we will have of a decent following. Me and 3 mates booked up so that's at least 4 haha
Joking aside I would say between 800 and 1000 if something gets confirmed by the end of this week

We only took 1000 to Amsterdam 18 months ago despite all that it had to "offer" so can't see us taking the same amount to Kiev |

If your Flight is £150 and you only go for two nights you could probably do this for £200 by staying in a cheap hostel.
I can't overstate how cheap it is there now. You will be amazed. If you only do one of the two March games, do this one.

It's going to work out quite nice for me, got a stag do in Riga (Latvia) from Friday to Monday, instead of flying home from Riga ive picked up a flight to Kiev for £50 that lands into Kiev at about 1pm, stay over that night and get the BA Heathrow flight home on the Tuesday. cant wait!!

Something has come up and so it doesn't look like I will make this one now, quite annoyed. Will be looking to compensate with a trip to Ukraine later in the year seeing as it is generally quite cheap over there.

Well i've been patient enough, I have today emailed the FAW to get some clarification on this and the NI game as it seems to be reported everywhere else apart from the most important people, the FAW themselves!
I will report back here when/if they get back to me!

As expected they were not able to confirm the games to me but they have said the Ukraine and NI games are likely to go ahead on the reported dates and some things still need to be finalized but hope to announce "as soon as possible"
doesn't really change much for anyone I suppose someone from the FAW saying the games are likely to go ahead is a small positive!
