I'm fuming they are now allowing Debit Cards after all that fuss and what Corky said!!! That is going to cost me a transaction fee now (If I'm lucky) whereas I can buy overseas on my debit card without any fees. My mate got a credit card just to apply for these tickets and is in the same boat! Where have you seen this, it must have been a huge turnabout because it was definitely CREDIT card only, I checked many times with the FAW, other countries and UEFA

Thanks for that, GW It now make more sense to me, as indeed the Category 3 English tickets were added, and also the Russia game (that for a long time only had Category 1 tickets) now also has added category 2 tickets. So its just UEFA trying to make sure that every last ticket is sold - even if there were only 30 or 40 left over tickets for the England game (or perhaps to just be able to manipulate the segregation line between our two nations with neutral fans?) I would hope, assuming we are oversubscribed, that a conversation has gone on between our FAW and UEFA to see if we can get hold of some of as many of these as possible. I'm fairly confident that this will have happened. I dont think there would be any need for conversation For us to get extra tickets three things have to be satisfied first has either the other FA undersold in the fixture then can segregation line be moved to transfer some of these to our end of the ground likely these ticekts will be cat 2and cat 1 and thats why ticking box would have been a good strategy third can all these tickets be sold with our applications already in if all the above satisfied we will get extra tickets also i think cat 3 genreal sale tickets for england game i have a feeling these are actually cat 2 ticket area with poor view as all cat3 should be behind goal and in our allocation and not for general sale at all

As for credit card question UEFA have said to the irish that they had said that as its only universal card given out accross europe as some european nations banks dont do debit cards or internationally recognised ones and thats why and debit cards should be ok this came out after closing date mind others had said they had no problem using debit card in earlier general sale but was up to you if you wanted to take risk

Expect an announcement from the FAW shortly, even if it's just say they tried and failed to secure more tickets for X reasons.

looking at both the irish fas extras would like to think we will get extra 1000 for two fixtures other than england as northern ireland got 850 odd for theyre smallest allocation and republic got a 1000 for theyres
But as you will see the fast majority of they're extras are at the bigger grounds unfortunately for us

Toll charges alone for the trips between games will make your eyes water, unless you plan on staying off toll roads in which case leave yourself an awful lot of time for the journeys.

And this regarding how many applications they have in regarding fixtures englandsupporters.thefa.com/fan-forums/tickets_and_travel/f/11/t/8737Also for all the people who said they wanted to know the ins and out of our allocation if it had been as black and white as you would have liked we never would have got these extra tickets we got these because UEFA adopted a fluid ticketing policy to responded to demand or lack of it so as try and give best allround and serve theyre goal of selling all the tickets

[The confusion led to a lot of concern among some of the 275,000 supporters who applied for tickets involving Ireland at the tournament by Monday's deadline.
The problem lay in the fact that UEFA claimed there 'may' be a problem using debit cards and the only way of being certain of your application being accepted was to use a credit card.
UEFA have since clarified that only some countries used debit cards. like Ireland, and credit cards was the only universal method of paying for tickets.
They confirmed that debit cards will work once sufficient funds exist on that card.
Fans who had applied using debit cards have the option of changing their application on the tickets portal to use a credit card up until the weekend.
Tickets for Ireland three Group E games have been heavily oversubscribed with only 26,000 tickets available to 275,000 applicants.
Martin O'Neill's side meet the Swedes at the Stade de France on June 13 and UEFA have said that the clash is in the top three in terms of ticket demand alongside the clash with Germany and Poland at the same venue on June 16 and the meeting of Portugal and Austria (June 18), also in Paris.
The governing body also said that Ireland were among the top five countries in terms of volume of demand for tickets alongside Poland, France, Austria and Switzerland.

Even in that article they are saying you can change your application from debit to credit card ....I still don't believe it's worth the risk

so are we allowed to use a debit card, so much confusion. From what i understand, if you have already used a debit card, you have up until 1 February to replace it with a credit card. Not the other way around. i might be wrong though...

If you want a bit of "Welshness" on your way down to Bordeaux drop in to this place, Mortagne-sur-Gironde, where the memorial to Owain Lawgoch is.
