As far as I'm aware, this ticket phase wasn't even anticipated. We were supposed to go from General Portal > Individual National Portal > General Portal Ticket exchange. I can only presume that the initially held back tickets to look to increase the National pots, as they have done. I personally think that the tickets available in this phase are going to be minimal and the additional tickets provide to Wales fans (increased allocations) are likely to have come out of this general allocation. I was reading on the English fans forum, that for the Euros in Poland/Ukraine in 2012, there was a third unexpected portal that opened up in early May, after the exchange portal closed. This was predominantly for the sponsor tickets that didn't get claimed. Most of these sold at the time for only €15 and were located in the front three rows of the stadium... So there is hope yet for that elusive England game ticket ;-) Sorry but no way can I see sponsors returning tickets for Wales vs England They will either share them as complimentary tickets to the prawn sandwich brigade or sell as package tickets I wish you all the best in getting tickets for this game but think you may be clutching at straws

Still no email confirmation for our brethren across the Severn ... English FA says payments will still be taken throughout tomorrow and emails expected in 2 or 3 days ... And UEFA have a big mess with the Belgian FA to clear as well... Can't imagine too many public portal sales before the weekend now...

Just had a message from my friend across the pond and it seems England have just started getting their confirmation emails, so public portal tickets might start getting dished out by the end of the week with any luck for some people!

We had this last week which states that from the beginning of this week they plan to start taking payments. with the first Issue of tickets to member's we had a similar email, then if you were fully or partially successful we had pending transactions on our credit cards showing for about a day and a half / two days but no indication of what we were getting then an email stating if we were successful / partially successful or not successful
Important information about your EURO 2016 ticket application
Dear Football Fan,
Thank you once again for applying for tickets to UEFA EURO 2016™!
From the beginning of next week, we plan to start taking payments from applicants with successful ticket applications.
Please note that this email is not an indication of the status of your application. It is possible that you will be allocated all, some or none of the tickets that you applied for. You will be notified of the result of your application once the payment process is over.
If you are a successful applicant, your credit card will be charged automatically.
Please note that in case of a payment failure, your application will be cancelled.
You are therefore kindly requested to check with your bank that there are sufficient funds on your credit card, or to raise the credit limit per transaction accordingly.
Please remember that if you have agreed to accept tickets in other categories, this may increase the total amount to be paid for your tickets.
You may also wish to inform your bank of the anticipated international transaction. The following payment information will appear on your bank statement:
UEFA - EURO 2016 - Avenue Kleber 112 – 75773 - Paris Cedex 16 – 1260 Merchant ID: 101301204

Even that is optimistic ... Germany are still finalising their ticket share and UEFA still need to sort out the mess they made with Belgium and Northern Ireland...
I'd say some straight-forward group tickets will go out early next week first - probably groups A, D and F tickets (France, Spain and Portugal groups).
Unfortunately, for us, I'd say no earlier than the end on next week...

Does anyone know a good injury claims lawyer as I'm thinking of suing UEFA for Repetative Strain injury to my middle finger on my right hand due to hitting my IPad every 30mins to see if I've got any Transactions Pending on my Online Credit Card Account ;o)

Some extra bad news ... UEFA have just announced this evening, that it will be giving 10,000 extra tickets to the Belgian FA. The unsuccessful Belgian fans from the 18 January application will be contacted tomorrow via email and The Belgian FA believes these tickets will be finalised by the weekend... I guess we can all stop checking our Bank apps for the next couple of days ... unless you are Belgian! EDIT - someone on TripAdvisor mentioned that the same happened for the 2014 WC in Rio and the deadline of general portal was extended by 2 weeks ... www.nieuwsblad.be/cnt/dmf20160222_02143065

Can anyone remember on the Public Portal if all the catergories were available to choose from or was it limited to certain categories of the 4? ?

Can anyone remember on the Public Portal if all the catergories were available to choose from or was it limited to certain categories of the 4? ? When I applied on behalf of member's of my family all Categories were available. For the England game categories 4 & 3 showed very high demand. 2 & 1 didn't show any indication of high demand so I went for Cat 1 in a bid that there would be less interest but on the flip side there maybe less tickets available in Cat 1 for the England game. I say this as all of us who applied in the Fans portal all went for Cat 1 Tickets and we got them except for the England game which indicates (to me) that there maybe less of these Cat 1 tickets available....I may / hope that I am wrong.

Imagine being in a situation now where you only applied for Cat 4 or 3 tickets and didn't tick the box to be bumped up if necessary? I would be hate to be waiting on that one!!!

Does anyone know for sure that if you've been selected to get say a cat 4 ticket for a game and they are sold out that they will automatically bump you up to the next available (assuming you ticked the box) or will they simply reject the selection and only come back once all the first preferences are complete. Confused, I am lol
I guess what I mean is, will there really be a chance for anyone to get bumped up during the public portal application. I would have thought that every single game ticket would have been applied for despite the category of the ticket.
Not sure if that makes sense, and happy to be wrong, but I don't see any categories being short of numbers in application

With the neutral tickets, they've got even less reason to try and squeeze anyone in if there are enough people already going for that higher category. On the plus side, it's a genuine lottery, so you've got as much chance as anyone else!

Can anyone remember on the Public Portal if all the catergories were available to choose from or was it limited to certain categories of the 4? ? 1 and 2 for Slovakia, 1, 2 and 3 for England with 2 and 3 being restricted viewing. Only cat 1 for Russia. No cat 4 available.

I feel bdintokyo is right about being placed at the back of the queue after being bumped to a different category. Surprisingly, many English fans were bumped up to a cheaper ticket, especially for our game (usually from category 2 request to getting category 3 tickets). Whereas, many of our applicants got bumped down in the exact opposite direction for that same match - go figure!
To answer quetzal's question re: categories available on public portal, I am quite certain that the only categories available were categories 1 and 2. The only exception to this was the England game that also had category 3 restricted view tickets at €40. Many games did indeed have three or four categories available but they were: category 1 (€155?) category 1-restricted view (€125?) category 2 (€105) cat 2-restricted view ((€80) plus the exception of England game. There were only two games that indicated "Good Chances": Romania v Albania and Slovakia v Russia. I hope my brother manages at least to get me that later one, as I have 5 days to kill in Lille, and i am not a big museum person... Unless, of course, the impossible happens and we get the England game tickets ;-)
Oh Lord, Won't you get me - a ticket for Lens ;-)

Public Portal is now turning into a farce I'm afraid. I'm sorry but UEFA are delaying the Public Portal because they are pandering to the football associations who want more tickets for these so called hard luck fans who fucked up on their choice of catergory. They got it wrong and now there will be less tickets for us on the Public Portal!!!
