I stupidly only went for the public portal as I thought I wouldn't have enough points. Just found out that my mate with the same points as me has got the Slovakia and Russia games.
Gutted!
Has anyone who applied for public portal had funds reserved? Mine hasn't yet so want to know if they've started doing them yet...

As a Joe Public who applied via GS, I would like to say that I was not a member but am a long standing TT holder onthewaytoFrance.
I and others in my position deserve an opportunity to apply for tickets.
My son who was a member and TT holder for 3 campaigns was unsuccessful.
Absolute shambles.

With the digital age and all that, you´d think it would be before the 15th of Feb. UEFA are a business and the quicker they get our millions in the bank the quicker they make interest on them millions!!!!

My guess is they're clearing all the national associations first (as we've seen, a bit of a complex process), then doing the public portal. Don't forget they kept it open till Feb 1; the Wales fans' portal took about 3 weeks from closing until sending emails out, so I don't expect anything for another week or so...

I suspect bdintokyo might be right. Although Slovakia have also got their tickets, neither e....d nor Russia have received theirs yet. I am quite sure that due to fan segregation issues, it is impossible to allocate public portal tickets until after all national supporter allocations have been done in full.

Just had this email from uefa:
Dear Football Fan,
Thank you once again for applying for tickets to UEFA EURO 2016™!
From the beginning of next week, we plan to start taking payments from applicants with successful ticket applications.
Anyone have any ideas how many tickets will be on sale in this tranche?

He did and got two games. How many points do you and your mate have?

To answer your question i have 28 points and my mate 22 and we just got 2 cat 3 FYT to final using my loyalty my mate didnt apply to give everyone a chance of a ticket
and if they had included single home games including finland friendly i would have had 33 points Good Luck to your mate what Cat did he get and did he get bumped up or anything
I think a lot missed out because of splits and human behaviour
I avoided cat 4 not knowing how many and assume UEFA not very generous and i bet a lot of people did that so some people got those with reasonable loyalty cause took a risk i wasnt going to and also worst view
my own choice was wanted the best value/view so went cat 3 and i think this where pwople came a cropper so did most evry one else
those with lower loyalty either just went straight for cat 1 or cat 2 with ticking the box to increase chance and that is what i would have done if i was in theyre position

Not sure the exact number of points. I read that they gave the most loyal supporters tickets first (rightly so) and then did a lottery on the rest which was not what we were originally told was it. I was under the impression they would go from highest points to lowest until there were no tickets left. It seems that they got to a certain number of points then just randomised the rest.

Probably then there was x tickets left in the category you applied but more members with that loyalty and nothing to split them i.e they where identical and thus the need for rnadom draw and why your mate got and you didnt. that mighthave not been said that by FAW but it is UEFA rules how else do you decide tie break

It looks like the England FA is the last one to have their credit card transactions pending. From their Fan Forum I'd say only a minority of these transactions have been confirmed over the weekend. I'd expect UEFA to finalise these tomorrow. If this FA is indeed the final one, I expect the public portal credit card transactions to start happening on Tuesday. THIS is a fairly active TripAdvisor thread.

According to English FA, UEFA have said that they will finalise the English applications by tomorrow night (Tuesday). Some English fans have had pending transactions since Friday with no email confirmation as yet. The majority have not even had pending card transactions... Hence, I can't see any public portal transactions before Wednesday at the earliest

I know of someone who is a Member but didn't have a TT and went to no aways had 2 for Slovakia and a QF Which categories did they go for though? And did they have a membership / tournament ticket in the previous campaign? The points totals needed in category 1 & 2 for Slovakia are pretty low.

We were supposed to go from General Portal > Individual National Portal > General Portal Ticket exchange. I can only presume that the initially held back tickets to look to increase the National pots, as they have done. I personally think that the tickets available in this phase are going to be minimal and the additional tickets provide to Wales fans (increased allocations) are likely to have come out of this general allocation.

I was reading on the English fans forum, that for the Euros in Poland/Ukraine in 2012, there was a third unexpected portal that opened up in early May, after the exchange portal closed. This was predominantly for the sponsor tickets that didn't get claimed. Most of these sold at the time for only €15 and were located in the front three rows of the stadium... So there is hope yet for that elusive England game ticket ;-)

Doom and gloom I know!!!
