I remember being called a conspiracy theorist about this issue on the old DS board, I may very well have been right all along! ;D
I agree with Cliff. Talk him into sitting on the bench with the proviso that he doesnt actually play and then with 10 minutes left call his bluff by telling him to get warmed up. His reaction to that will tell us all we need to know.

Not even on the bench RD. With Vaughan out, surely he'll be in line to start Tuesday. It doesn't take that long to recover from a stomache bug does it?

He ha a stomach bug and it's understandable he didn't play today, however if he dosen't play on tuesday night this would confirm he has no commitment to us.

If was asked after the game and said he was looking forward to making his competitive start at Wembley. He's committed.

this thread is ridiculous.
how anyone can genuinely claim that for three whole years, collison plays in all the friendlys, then turns up for competitive squads only to feign injury at the last minute just so he doesnt get commited to us.
why would he do that? what does he gain? if he didnt want to play for us surely it would be simpler to tell us that he no longer wants to play for us than fake injury for three years. ludicrous theory which will hopefully stop after tuesday.

Let's just hope he takes the field on Tuesday, one minute will do.
After Owen Hargreaves and Rhys Williams let's just make it a priority to get the boy a competitive cap.

He wouldn't get in England's team anyway. He's now a championship player who if he was that good would have had attention at least from the lower Premiership clubs but hasn't.

It is indeed utterly ridiculous to question his commitment. I think it's just a case of 'shit happens'. I mean, no one really believed that bale was a curse on the spuds team did they? Oh...well, that's football fans I suppose.

On a serious note nothing ridiculous about this thread, I am STILL sceptical about Jack's commitment to Wales! If he does NOT play Tuesday night then even more reason.

Cliffy...if Jack wasn't committed, why (as has already been mentioned) would he go to all the trouble of turning up for some pretty dire friendlies, plus all the training camps, just to come out with a bs excuse to miss a competitive game?

Needs to start at wembley. Yeah he does, with Vaughan missing, need him in there to assist Ramsey, Bale etc to combat England's midfield and stop them giving Rooney the service!

Have been monitoring Collison at West Ham this year. He's only played about half the total minutes possible despite being fit for all games. Part of that was 90 mins in the Carling Cup.
That said, if he plays like he has done for Wales in the past then his selection would be a no-brainer. Got to have faith in Jack really.

He will dovetail very nicely with Ramsay, Bale, and Allen & King - his teammates from the U21s as we progress.

he is still not comitted though joking obviously he is, but i wonder if anyone on here would still think that, maybe we can expect a "he only done it for wembley" thread

Was so great to see Jack finally win that first competitive cap. The fluency we had last night in midfield last night was reminicent of the u21s a few years back. And I feel that our midfield will only improve as Collison regains full fitness and Allen, King and Johnny Williams gain more experience. Very exciting.
