I heard something about how his recovery was ahead of schedule and he was due back in January- obviously that hasn't happened. Can anyone shed any light on what's going on?

Do we forget about him for the England game because of lack of game time or would you have him in the squad?

I don't think it would be worth using him. He's been out for a very long time and hasn't worn a Wales shirt in ages.

Collison needs to get his club career back on track first. Can't imagine him just waltzing back into the West Ham first XI, and other players like David Vaughan have moved above him in the international pecking order.

The last game he played was against Sweden a year ago. Seems longer than that to be honest. Its incredible to think that surgery on a groin injury has kept him out longer than a lad who broke his leg.
BAck in training now, although he probably wont be getting that elusive competitive cap til September at the earliest.

Has big trouble with his knees apparently - hopefully I've got that wrong. If he plays all WHU games from here to the England game then he's in the squad for me.
We're that west ham fan we had on here?

He is a precious gem who should not be rushed back.

Supposed to be back in full training this week, with a view to return to first team action 19th march , 1 week before England game,
Could be at least in wales, squad, or in the the backroom to be introduced to new set up etc.
Goood news.

Might be a bit too soon for him, especially to dislodge man of the moment Andrew Crofts!! Seriously though, top player, be great to get him back in a red shirt for a competitive game.
Spelt his name right too - good work.

Andrew Crofts seemed ok in switzerland away. however he needs to improve a hell of a lot to live with Englands midfield

Great news about Collison, that elusive first competitive game will be too soon for him for this game IMO. Rambo and David Edwards look like the CM pairing at the mo, with Bellars and Bale wide, I know we are at home but I would go 4-5-1 for this game, Morrison being the front man for me.

According to Danny Gabbidons Twitter, Jack Collison is playing his first match today since his injury. Fingers crossed he comes back unscathed.

Best of luck Jack, hope you come back fitter & stronger for next season, especially for that elusive first competitive game in September Hope Rambo, Bale, Edwards, Ledley & Allen are fit and on form for that game too.

Brilliant, with a bit of luck he can keep his fitness and be involved in the matches against Scotland and Northern Ireland in May, desperately need him to return to be honest!

It would be a massive boost (and surprise) to have Collison back for the games vs NI and Scotland if he manages a bit of first tema action for WHU between now and the end of the season.
