Thank you Mr Ford. I’m sure he’s left us in a better position. It’s now about the next appointment. Lets hope they get the call right.

Forced out by the blazers. A return to the shambles of the 80s & 90s structure beckons unless the right person gets the job. He will be missed.

Just having a quick look around Twitter on the subject. Seems like grassroots football has been a complete shambles in the lockdown. People are happy he’s gone. From my point of view he did a great job. I’m 44 and remember the bad old days. 24 man committee calling the shots

Great - the pond life forces out someone who has overseen great Welsh success. Would love to be a management consultant going in there and getting rid of those who are clipping a benefit / salary without doing anything constructive.
Honestly if things are going too well, us Celts have a great way to self destruct.
No manager and a CEO stepping down just as we are about to start our World Cup campaign and hopefully go to the Euros.
I don't know the story about grass roots football during lockdown but I do now the Welsh political executive has locked down everything, which was quite frankly probably the right decision.

I know a lot of clubs have really struggled through the lockdown without income. I just don't see how it's Ford's fault, it's surely an inevitability of the pandemic? What didn't Ford do that was an obvious and workable solution? Surely clubs everywhere are in similar positions
I just think it's easy to criticise and call something a shambles, when in reality the pandemic has craeted the situation and not Ford, and there are no easy answers to the problems - COVID has affected everything

Ford's real error, as far as I can see, was appointing a toxic executive. What was he thinking?!

I’m involved in grassroots football and to be honest it was the right decision not to start any competitions. Let’s be honest if you’re top of the league or playing your rivals and you come down with every symptom in the book would you play? I wouldn’t have the faith in people doing the right thing. All through this pandemic it does seem the messenger gets shot at every opportunity by hordes of frustrated people.

Who's in charge at the FAW generally, if Jonathan Ford is about to leave ship?

Well that’s one bit of good news. Are the two departures related one wonders?

Well that’s one bit of good news. Are the two departures related one wonders? The article does say that one of the reasons Ford left was related to this, and therefore it isn't surprising that she has also left

Interesting article on the BBC Certainly, the statement that confirmed his exit listed a series of achievements that made you wonder why he would be shown the door. Yet there were those who became aggrieved with Ford's control of the association and grumblings of his attempts to streamline the decision-making process, with less powers for the traditional FAW Council. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56477282

Thank you Mr Ford for appointing Gary Speed when he was struggling at Sheff Utd. Thank you Mr Ford for appointing Coleman in impossible circumstances and then sticking by him when we were on the rocks. He deserved a bit of credit these last few weeks. Didn’t hear or read it, that’s for sure.

I'm watching the Post Office drama that is on the TV at the moment. I know that it is for for the telly, but it does not shine Angela van den Bogerd in a very good light. I'm all for giving people second chances, but it makes you wonder what on earth was going on at the FAW at the time when they decided to appoint her.
