Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone knows a place to stay in or around Lens.
5 of us are travelling up through France in our campervan after the Slovakia game and get to the Lens area on the 15th. We've got a campsite booked about 40 miles from Lens (Bertangles) but transport to and from is a nightmare.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Jon

A lot of us have the same issue as there is nothing in Lens
We are staying in Lille. A lot are staying in Amiens and Paris.

Thanks for that mate, where in Lille are you staying if you don't mind me asking? Dare I say it's bound to be full by now though.

Thanks for the help. Defo be looking into this. Wanted to get a campsite if possible as the motorhome has cost a bloody fortune so wanted to get money's worth from it.
Cheers

Jonny, First things first, get a tidy campsite guide book, either the Caravan Club Europe 1 book, it's really detailed and contains info on loads of sites or use the Eurocampings /ACSI site which I have pasted the link to. It's not as detailed as the CC book, but it has some good offers and if you go for the card you will get a discount at lots of sites. There is a campsite on the ACSI website about 20 miles from Lens, click on the red triangle to see more. There are a few other options, if you can't see anything you like look towards Belgium and Valenciennes. If you search the threads for the England game There were some really useful posts about transport from Valenciennes. The CC book will have more sites listed than ACSI, but they are both good options. The second link I hope is the regional railway map. Have a good trip. www.eurocampings.co.uk/campsite/search/countryID/FRA/www.google.co.uk/search?q=ter+nord+de+calais&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari#hl=en-gb&q=carte+ter+nord+pas+de+calais&imgrc=9oghFvYkb9ZPbM%3A
