www.footballconference.co.uk/news/details.php?news_id=5174WST need to act quick as do Glyndwr, the Conference usually act quick in expelling clubs and in fairness to other clubs expelled you would have thought Wrexham would have bit the dust yesterday at the Conf meeting. However, this gives Wrexham a chance and they got to take it for the sake of their diehards and for all of us in Welsh football. They might be in the doldrums compared to their history overall but that can change rather quickly and hopefully they'll go up this year. Fair play they've been well and truly raped. The WST folks I was speaking to on the Maes this week all seemed confident it would happen. That there has been no news in the last 48hrs is a bit worrying. Maybe "No news is good news"

Had to be back in work in Cardiff today, otherwise I would have tried. Rush was there today too representing the Welsh Football Trust.
I thought the FAW made a decent effort with their pitch on the Maes. Credit to them. Ian Gwyn was there on Tuesday most of the day

A large fault lies with the FAW how can they just stand by and allow this to happen? Wrexham are our 4th biggest club and the FAW are just going to allow them to sink.

Who are the third biggest team ahead of Wrexham, surely not Newport County?

Depends how you define "biggest". Neath have to be right up there since they signed Trundle ;D

Wrexham are still the biggest club in Wales in my opinion. Always finished above the exiles when I was growing up.

Very kind of you Rhys, but with Cardiff and Swansea likely to average crowds 10 times the size of ours this season, I don't go along with that. We're definitely bigger than Newport County though!

I placed Newport as the 3rd biggest simply becuase they finished higher than Wrexham last year, plus I have a younger brother in thier academy :-)

Did Wrexham not finish 11th and Newport like 7/8 points off the play offs?

Few Cardiff fans saying the same on our forum this week, every city fan i know has a soft spot for your lot. Hopefully take in a couple of Wrexham games this season.

Hearing reports on other message boards that Wrexham have raised their bond money for the Conference.
Best Welsh sporting news all year!

3-1 up away at top of the table Gatehead - 17 mins of 2nd half gone. They were 3 up!
They cannot throw this away.
