"A Millennium Stadium of the North"? Bold by Leanne. Why don't the town's Labour politicians espouse the same ambition?

Wrexham council couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. Total embarrassment they are. Funding from the Welsh government would be very welcome but I wouldn't hold my breath. Wrexham would be lucky to get a bag of footballs and a few bibs from the Welsh government.

We could do with a decent stadium in Newport as well please if they're splashing the cash!

I would not worry to much about the Welsh government giving taxpayers money to Wrexham/North Wales & Mid Wales all the money/funds are spent in the south.

Due to the greed of premiership clubs no game for Palace today so off to see wrexham at woking. Let's hope they get three points today and have more Welshmen in the team which was not the case against maidstone.

I've given up on us ever getting out of this league. We've regressed so much in the last 5 years that if we do some day get promoted, it'd be like a brand new team entering the league, opposed to a historic league club regaining it's place.
Changing our kit maker to Macron has further cemented our non-league status.

Palace have macron tip for anyone buying any replica tops etc, always try it on otherwise it will be to small or to large the sizes are all messed up .

Macron? Non league? Really? When we had Adidas? Yes! I think that's a little unfair. I agree with the sentiment about us never getting out of this league but Macron are actually a decent supplier. It's local, they delivered quickly and some of the leisurewear is actually quite smart. They sponsor Sporting Lisbon, Palace, Bolton and a handful of other teams far better than us. Roll on Saturday where we might scrape a 1-0 against our biggest rivals in our lowest attendance with them for decades!

Macron? Non league? Really? When we had Adidas? Yes! The last I heard there were certain conditions attached to doing business with Adidas that could prospectively end up costing the club money just to have Adidas as a kit supplier. As such I would have thought that a conference club NOT using them would be a very smart move indeed.

Potential for the atmosphere to be pretty toxic today if the team perform badly and God forbid actually lose this one

Where are all the Wrexham fans? Shocking attendance for a derby I was told was one of the most fierce in the country.

Symptomatic of the general feelings of many fans towards the manager and the teams performances. Very unhealthy at the moment, but it is arguably the worst Wrexham side ever. Hate to say it but that's true, hence the poor crowd

I understand the apathy towards the club being shown on a Tuesday night game against Welling or something or any away day but a local derby should be a time where the clubs fans galvanise and come together to help turn it round. If not Chester at home, when?

Good summary.
I could also point out to Llan123 that this is the 5th tier of the pyramid. Have a look at the attendances at Ninian Park and the Vetch in the 96/97 season for the South Wales Derby in the 3rd Division...

Early kick off, live coverage, bubble match, Chester races and a general apathy towards our current form all added up to it being a low yet under those circumstances decent attendance.

We had a crowd of 5603 for the first game of the season against a Dover side with next to nobody in support on the back of no exciting summer signings. Not too bad for a conference side...
Apparently we can't even afford to sack our manager right now though, so the low attendances will continue.

Not having a go at Wrexham fans I was just very surprised to see so many empty seats in the Wrexham end, I have always heard how fierce the rivalry is and was expecting a raucous atmosphere when I turned the TV on. I hate bubble matches and understand why both sets of fans do not travel away under those circumstances.
