He's got to be in and around getting a call up surely?

He's got to be in and around getting a call up surely? I'm thinking that Rabbi is now nudging ahead of Colwill ... and it may well be that Davies will get the wild card call-up ahead of both of them ...

If the games were played this month with Kieffer out I can't see how Davies wouldn't get the call. Even with Kieffer there I put him ahead of Mark Harris in terms of performances so far this season, which probably puts him into pole position for 2nd choice striker. Seems like the type of player Page would love as well Matondo also deserves a call up IMO, and it's tough competition for places in our forward line now

There's no reason why we can't call up all three in one of those extended squads which seem fashionable now

I hope so, I see no reason why not, he's in form and flying.

I thought he was very poor last night. Timing of his runs was awful and so was his positioning. Maybe trying a bit too hard. Should have got a couple.

I thought he was very poor last night. Timing of his runs was awful and so was his positioning. Maybe trying a bit too hard. Should have got a couple. Disagree, I was encouraged by his display. Made one excellent run in the first half where he carried it 50m and got a shot off. Also did well to set up Vaulks for his shot that went off the post. There were a couple of occasions where things didn't quite click between him and Johnson where the pullback didn't match the run, but that's to be expected given it was their first time playing together. If you watch his goals for Cercle, a few of them have been poacher type goals, scoring from pullbacks etc. so I do think he has that in him.

Think all you can ask for is progress and I thought he was much improved on previous appearances for Wales. Has added a bit of steel to his game too. If we're transitioning to 2 mobile strikers instead of a target man, think he could be a useful member of the squad.

Linked with Fulham. Somebody get hold of him and tell him to stay in Belgium. He’ll be a bench warmer in the PL.

Remember when Jesse Lingard went to West Ham for half a season, hit form and figures that he had never done in is career previously, got himself back in the England squad and helped West Ham finish 6th and get into Europe? He had the opportunity to go back to West Ham and carry on where he'd left off but he took the gamble on staying on the bench at Man Utd and all the momentum and form that he had went off the side of the cliff and into a ravine. That's exactly what will happen with Rabbi if he joins any Premier League side right now, any. If something is going well for the first time in your career leave it, don't jeopardise it, he needs games, starts and experience and coming on for the last 10-15 minutes for Fulham when they're 2-0 down at home to Crystal Palace and a third of the small ground has left is not the kind of experience he needs.

Didn’t look good enough to be playing at prem level on his showing against the Czechs. Be surprised if a prem club really does come in for him.
Monaco would be a great shop window but again seems like too big a stage for where he seems to be at the moment.

He's only on loan in Belgium and I can't see them affording him so it's back to Schalke or somewhere else

Oh no! Just read on the brilliant Dragon Soccer that Rabbi turned down numerous offers in Belgium because wants to return to UK and is likely to follow Vincent Kompany. Burnley? I’m sorry but he was better going to a top 3 Belgian club. Bloody money and that talking now imo.

Liked by the fans and would have a bit of stability in a lovely city. By all means go somewhere if he has another good season, but for me he’s still a massive work in progress and not near the finished article, particularly with the physicality of the Championship. Although he has bulked up a fair bit over the last year or so, tbf. But I’d still worry about that.

Burnley might work ok. Fact that they're even contemplating Kompany suggests that they may want to pursue a different style? Championship didn't do Brennan or Harry Wilson much harm last season and arguably a better yardstick as to how good a performance actually is rather than from say the Belgian league. Worry with Burnley is what the financial situation does to them next season.

An upward trajectory after his career had stalled. But it’s the cash after all.

Worry with Burnley is what the financial situation does to them next season. Championship is probably the right level for him imo but the problem with Burnley is this 65 million loan that is likely going to render them uncompetitive. He could easily find himself aboard a sinking ship and trying to make a name for himself is going to be twice as hard than if he moved to a more stable club.

I would like to see him stay in Belgium particularly Cercle Brugge as they have an option to buy. Yes there are questions about the quality of the league but it seemed to suit him.

I’d say the standard of the Belgian Pro League is the same as the Championship tbh. The Belgian Pro League is less physical however, and Rabbi’s clearly adapted well to that.

Maybe he just wants to come home to the UK as he feels more at home here? Moving abroad is a big thing, for footballers as well.

He has had an excellent season. Why would he want to move right now? I think his best move would be to stay put - as he is on loan, he should push for a move back to Brugge permanently.

Cercle have confirmed that they’ve failed to agree personal terms.
Hope Rabbi has a plan and it works out. Felt he was bright yesterday. Would be a shame were his career to stutter again.
