Still pissed off Cardiff only got £500k for developing him for years and Man City get £11m for 2 years of coaching, not his fault though and hopefully he makes Guardiola look stupid for letting him go

Why no sell on clause 2. Why did he leave, no pathway for you g players at Cardiff?

Why no sell on clause 2. Why did he leave, no pathway for you g players at Cardiff? 1. He left under the new rule that Tier 1 clubs can sign young players from football league clubs for minimal compensation fees (less than a couple of a million). 2. This rule makes it very difficult for smaller clubs to keep hold of young talent as the club cannot negotiate a price. Not Cardiff's fault, they are bound by these rules unfortunately.

Would having youth teams compete in Wales give clubs more protection from EPPP than the English youth system?

Banking on an 18 year old who's only just started playing senior football to save them from the might of Bayern, jesus 😂

Watched the first half and he's had about 4 or 5 touches. He's not really taking the opportunity to be honest. He looks a little timid and isn't really taking any risks on or off the ball. He's been giving it straight back after receiving it, and there's been a couple of clear opportunities to run in behind which he hasn't taken. Perhaps not unsurprising given his age and I suppose the fact he's starting at all is very promising!

I agree. Although, this Schalka team is very poor. If they are the second best team in Germany, FC Twente better relocate across the border ;-)

Starting in the first team already is massive.
Seems to have gone unmentioned in the press, still wetting themselves over foden scoring 2 against Newport

Need to get him tied to us. Bring him on as late sub v Slovakia. Read some of his interviews. There is no danger of him switching to England or Congo. He started playing his football in Tremorfa, and Wales is his footballing home. He experienced the England setup at u15's and hasn't gone back since. By all means I think he will get on the pitch in our next couple of fixtures, but we don't cap people to trap them into being tied to us, which is probably part of the reason why our youth prospects all seem to be loyal, and we haven't had a Declan Rice situation.

Coleman - "Now he has had a little taste of it, that cements his future with Wales for the next 10 or 15 years" Didn't Giggs give six first competitive caps in his very first competitive match in charge?

Harry Wilson wouldn't have been capped if it weren't for an extensive list of injuries. If we had a full squad he wouldn't even have been in the squad. So we didn't just cap him for the sake of it. Yes Giggs has given out first competitive caps to a lot of people, but he has also continued to pick and play them, which shows he isn't picking them just to tie them to us. Is there any other evidence that we just cap people for the sake of it?

Makes you wonder what's been going on at CCFC after the likes of Gunter, Ledley and Ramsey came through. Even John looks decent now at Swansea.

His brother is getting out of Cardiff too. Moving house so he can go to a different academy.

It shows on the livescore app that he's in the starting lineup! They're not the most accurate for the starting 11. Any one know anything?

Officially on the bench. The Schalke I saw in the last two matches would be lucky to only concede 4 tonight ;-(
