Just scored again so probably time he got his own thread.
In form with a stunning Wembley winner to boot which could earn him a move up a division. Gotta be a shoe in for Toulon anyway.

Why do people think he wants to play for Wales? I believe he has played games for our U17 and U19 but never for our U21s? I am just surprised given his progress he has never played for the U21s - he is 20 after all! Either he has looked to keep his options open or he is not as good as many think he is (and I wonder how many have actually seen him play)?

Geraint Williams didn't fancy him, if he's scoring for fun in a crap Coventry side then he's worth a shot

Unused sub in Armenia dead rubber. Williams preferred Jake Charles which was baffling-but maybe not given he preferred Rob Ogleby to Bradshaw on a few occasions.

I hear Wingate & Finchley thought very highly of Rob Ogleby in the 7 games he played for them last year.

*ahem* got another one today Thats four in last seven starts. Not bad. Shame if he misses out on Toulon due to being 20. Whats up with Cian Harries? Hasn't played since early Feb, despite rumours linking him with spurs?

Two well taken goals and looked lively all game. Surely a move away from Coventry is on the cards this summer, he's proven he can cut it at league 1 level at least.

He looks a natural finisher, I'd have thought move to the Championship is the next logical step for him

Even as a Swans fan would rather him go to a Championship club if not remain with Coventry, but not go to the Premier League. Just feel long term he would not get a look in and would be a big waste in the Under 23's. However, Coventry need cash to spend and Leicester are now leading the race for his services and wish him luck regardless!

Going to Leicester would probably show more intent than they have in loaning Tom Lawrence out. So positive in that sense.

Will it be a good move at this stage? He will more than likely be another Tom Lawrence looking for a move away again.

George Thomas set to be next young star promoted to Leicester City's first team
Plans for loan spell may be shelved as the Welsh forward catches Claude Puel's eye with performances for under-23swww.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/young-star-george-thomas-set-885524George Thomas is set to be the next Leicester City starlet to earn a promotion to the first team. The 20-year-old has been one of the top performers for City’s in-form under-23s this season and he produced another fine display on Tuesday night, scoring in the development squad’s Checkatrade Trophy win over Scunthorpe. There were plans for Thomas to continue to test himself against Football League opposition in the New Year, with a loan spell at a Championship or League One club, but these may now be shelved with Claude Puel considering introducing Thomas to the first team at City. Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Scunthorpe had a first-team feel to it, with six of City’s senior squad lining up for Steve Beaglehole’s side. Despite multi-million pound signings Kelechi Iheanacho and Leonardo Ulloa leading the line at Glanford Park, it was Thomas who opened the scoring. That’s now five goals and five assists in 14 games in all competitions for Thomas, who has played every minute in this season’s Premier League 2 campaign, in which City Under-23s are second and challenging for the title. Added to the more than 50 first-team appearances he made for Coventry before his summer switch to City, Thomas, who plays wide right or up front, may be ready for first-team action at the King Power Stadium. Thomas was pleased to play against and alongside senior professionals in the Checkatrade Trophy win. “We’re really happy, it was the aim to get into the next round,” Thomas, who scored in the final of the competition for Coventry last season, told LCFC TV. “This competition is a chance for us younger players to prove ourselves against Football League players. “I’m always pleased to get on the scoresheet, especially from midfield. I hadn’t scored for a few weeks so it was playing on my mind a bit. To get one early is good for my confidence. “When I got the chance to play in the game, I was buzzing. We had a few first-teamers like Ulloa, (Aleksandar) Dragovic and Iheanacho. “They are top, top players and obviously it’s going to help you become a better player yourself and they got us over the line.” To aid Thomas’s development, a loan move in January had been lined up, with Championship strugglers Sunderland the likely destination according to the Independent. New Black Cats boss Chris Coleman will be aware of Thomas’s qualities from his days as Wales manager. However, Thomas has caught Puel’s eye and he may be afforded a chance in the first team as the schedule gets busy over the next couple of months. Puel has been watching City’s under-23s intently and has already handed a Premier League debut to development squad captain Hamza Choudhury. After Choudhury’s appearance against Spurs, Puel suggested another debut was just around the corner. “We will see during the season if we can give them some game time,” the Frenchman said. “It’s important to look at these players as it’s the future for Leicester.” Thomas, who was born in Leicester, fits the bill for Puel. With Marc Albrighton, Demarai Gray and Riyad Mahrez starting together, Puel has had a lack of wide options on his bench in recent weeks. Ben Chilwell has pushed forward to play as an auxiliary winger, but with Ahmed Musa out in the cold and potentially leaving in January, and Harvey Barnes on loan at Barnsley for the full season, Thomas could be the answer.

Doesn’t make the squad for today’s cup tie. If he is going to feature in the first team, surely this was his chance?

Just saw that Thomas was on the bench for Leicester last night so he could potentially get some game time at the weekend.

Just saw that Thomas was on the bench for Leicester last night so he could potentially get some game time at the weekend. Yes. I noticed that. Despite the 3-1 scoreline and Arsenal going down to 10 men after 12 minutes, it was far from an easy stroll in the park and could have swung either way up until the dying minutes. Otherwise, I am sure he could have come on at some stage.

It will be interesting to see what position he is played in because I still can't work out where he's best suited. Hopefully a PL game will raise his profile for a good loan next season.
