He’s been on the bench for the last 3 Bournemouth league games without getting any minutes. Surely he is fit to play or they wouldn’t have him as a sub.

Brooks is probably our most skilful player I would say, he's with a decent club and manager in B'Mouth, but game time is a dilemma for him to evaluate in deciding his future or maybe it's a fitness issue which prevents him playing full 90 mins regularly, I imagine he still needs to work on his stamina levels and the club are building that up gradually.

Would like to see a permanent move to a club at the top end of the Championship

Such a shame he got injured in the play off final. Hence no pre-season and then playing catch up to get into an improving Bournemouth team. Another loan to a promotion pushing Championship team beckons? Sheffield United, Leeds?

Good to see he came on after 78 mins against Man City
There were 2-0 up at the time I see and City got one back at 82 mins but its encouraging to see him thrown on I guess
Hope he gets a bit more game time

Really needs more than 10 mins here and there. Especially to get back to where he was pre-cancer. Hopefully he can get a loan in January.

It's only really Brennan that's a guaranteed starter at a PL side, which is pretty insane.
Even guys like Burns and Broadhead (I know they've been injured) seem to have lost their starting spots to new signings; Iraiola doesn't fancy Moore, Brooks nor Mepham; Williams had a good season and then found himself dropped; Davies is only cover at Spurs; Wilson barely plays and Ward never plays.
Most of our PL players need to be looking at a move this January.
Then hopefully Leeds get promoted and the likes of Koumas, Biancheri, Crew, Colwill, and Beck establish themselves as PL players in the next few years.

Moore is now a Sheffield United player and pretty much a guaranteed starter there. Mepham may not be rated by Bournemouth but he's currently on loan at Sunderland and also a nailed-on starter. On the basis of the comments I have seen from them, the Sunderland fans seem to love him. In terms of preparing players for international football, I be happy to see all our players playing consistently at high flying Championship clubs.

I know they're out on loan and doing well, my point is the state of our current PL owned players is either on the bench or out on loan in the Championship. Rodon had to do the same last year and it worked out well for him. I hope PL clubs would be interested in Wilson, Brooks and Williams, but as you say good championship football is better for us than 10 minute PL cameos. We just don't have enough players playing regular football anymore.

I think its the only time I ever recall (possibly only time in history?) there has been no players from Wales staring in the top tier. Wilson at least has shown he is worth a place, and Williams has proven his premier league quality, though Forest not likely to change their starting defence any time soon. Doesn't South Wales produce footballers anymore? We're always going to have Championship players in our squad but a team of Championship players isn't likely to qualify us for World cups. Hopefully this season is an anomaly

How does he pick up all of these illnesses? He had several things that kept him out for long periods before the whole cancer ordeal, and has had it a couple of times since recovering too - most ntoably in the Poland playoff final. Probably best not to specualte too much about someone's health actually, but it's a concern. Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Some people are more susceptible than others. My partner picks up a lot more bugs and colds than me throughout the year. The cancer treatment may also have left him with a weakened immune system, however like you said, he often had to pull out before the cancer diagnosis.

Would pick up things a lot easier than other and caution would need to be taken.

He had that bout of glandular fever after he had first broken through and I would think that would leave him more susceptible to viruses. Bournemouth have managed his time carefully presumably taking this in to account or else he'd never likely be available in international breaks.

Yep I was aware of that I remember when he missed matches due to glandular fever I thought about that link as I studied molecular biology at uni and thought I'd read about that link before but it was horrific that it then happened to him Hope he just stays well
