Even after the recent revelations regarding Arter and the bad vibes in the Irish camp, I'm still very wary about being too confident. The Irish have nothing to lose in this match, and being the probable underdogs, that could be quite dangerous for us. Nornally I'd be pretty confident in having a fully fit squad (touch wood no injuries in training), but it'll be just like Wales to go on and lose such a match - probably conceding a goal in a set play - which MON admitted they don't practice! Too negative?? You're a right party animal aren't you? ๐ Joking aside, I definitely see what you mean. I am always wary when it comes to our national team (even after Euro 2016, it still felt too good to be true). What I do deduce from that line-up is the fact that 8 of their Premier league players are based in defence if I'm correct. The midfield is looking rather weak, which makes me suspect that their only objective during this game will be to basically stop us from scoring. My biggest concern is that they are going to be incredibly difficult to break down. I hope Giggs has a few tricks up his sleeve to devise a way to break through their defence, other than battling on right up until the final whistle. Thank goodness we do have a full-strength squad for this and an on-form Bale as we'll need them. History tells us we don't go around winning comfortably. We made hard work beating Andorra H & A in the 2016 qualifiers, and took ages to beat Moldova away. It will be fine margins again I'm afraid!

www.fai.ie/ireland/news/republic-of-ireland-squad-confirmed-for-double-headerThat is potentially the worst ireland squad ive seen for a competitive game in the 10 years i been going to games. If wales dont beat us Thursday then something seriously wrong Personally ive no faith in the management team anymore and just over the weekend more news comes out about, fallouts between keane and players which have resulted in arter not making himself available and irish media saying rice was involved as well which would explain his sudden change of mind last week. We really cant afford to be losing premier league players like this. Atm half our midfield/forward options are struggling to get regular gametime in the championship. Think is a possibility of us losing our 6 games this autumn which should see the end of oneil in charge "If wales dont beat us Thursday then something seriously wrong" You have a full strength defence, your first choice keeper, and will have scrappers over the rest of the park. We have historically struggled against those type of sides, so my money would be on a draw. It won't be any easier for us to score in this game than it was last time, and we never looked like scoring in that game! The only difference this time is that we have Bale playing, but unless we get a piece of magic from him, I think we'll really struggle to score.ย If giggs plays an attacking game plan instead of the way Coleman setup last year and can see yous winning by a few Moral amoung irish fans is at an all time low and dont think anuone can be confident of us getting a result

I think it will be a very tough side to break down but I do think we have room for (some) optimism. Not as if we have Bale, Allen or Ramsey or anything! ๐

Flights on Ryan Air to Bristol on match day are still only โฌ15 ... for the early risers ... Can't be that many Irish coming this time - although the 'official' rumour is 1100 coming over ;-) circa 1300 sold by FAI

That and Denmark away should mean 6 points and lots of goals.

The BBC highlights any wrong doings because it suits their agenda. Heโs a hard tackling no nonsense player. I suspect your hatred stems from some of the British propaganda piped through your TV.

Boo hoo. Poor. I can think of a better photo of James McClean that was taken a few weeks before this one ๐ค I vaguely remember your photograph first appearing on a Rangers twitter page. Interesting place for a Welsh man to be sharing stuff from.

The same as Gareth Bale. Joey Barton has been sent off six times in about 250 games. If I was to guess, Iโd say youโre watching too much Match of the Day around poppy time, and probably voted for Brexit as well ๐

What's going on with the Danish and Irish set-ups?? Dropping (out) like flies ๐ฎ
But nothing official reported yet. I'd prefer it if he stays in actually, so that if we win this game, we can do so with at least a semblance of credibility.
