Anyone else in Copenhagen on Thursday? The game is being shown in the southern cross sports bar, with cheap beer (by Copenhagen standards) and a happy hour before 8.

Always liked McClean tbh, not a particularly good player but stuck to what he believes in and stuck it to the English. Glad he's out as it weakens the Irish further but don't wish him any ill fortune.

Not really a horrible player though is he? The BBC highlights any wrong doings because it suits their agenda. He’s a hard tackling no nonsense player. I suspect your hatred stems from some of the British propaganda piped through your TV. As irish media in ireland is neutral isn't it - lol The Irish media would quite neutral when it comes to McClean and Poppygate. You’ll find several articles for and against his actions both on and off the pitch. Just have a look online. Wales doesn’t have a national media on the same level as Ireland’s, so plenty of what you read, watch and hear is meant for the lovely masses of free thinking individuals in north-England. Coincidently, they are the same people who give James McClean the most abuse.

It looks like James McClean is out for the game now. I wonder do we have a futsal team? I watched Martins press conference when asked about Arter's absence being to do with Roy Keane he said 'yes probably is something to so with that'. Was expecting him to lie and go back to the 'concentrate on Cardiff' excuse but he totally didn't!

Boo hoo. Poor. I can think of a better photo of James McClean that was taken a few weeks before this one 🤔 I vaguely remember your photograph first appearing on a Rangers twitter page. Interesting place for a Welsh man to be sharing stuff from. Or just type james mcclean crying into Google image search...

Was expecting him to lie and go back to the 'concentrate on Cardiff' excuse but he totally didn't! He can’t lie anymore, it’s all unraveling. He told a journalist last week that there was an arguement between Keane, Arter and Walters but that it was resolved. There’s no way he could pretend Arter was just focusing on club football. Under O’Neill we have lost Grealish for good, and we now look likely to lose Rice, Arter and Liam Kelly. That’s three young players who can play a bit - all destined to be Premier League regulars, and a half decent premier league midfielder in Arter. Thank f**k it’s only the Nations League starting this week, and not the proper qualifiers.

Well I'm looking forward to it anyway and when it's on I will certainly not be thinking about Rangers, Celtic, unionism, loyalism, McClean, England or Great Britain. I just want three points and hopefully to see the youngsters get on the pitch.

The whole concept of a poppy allows McClean not to wear one but you also need to ask why he plays in England if he has those views. He’s an Irish nationalist and nothing else.
The kind of people who jeer every touch were also sending me Twitter videos to his goal over Titanic music when we got beaten 0-1.

Please stop talking about poppies and sectarianism, absolutely no need for it. This is a football forum and a Welsh one at that.

If you’re looking to get on the A4232 to get back to Swansea via Junction 33 you could be waiting for anything between 20 mins to an hour. As it’s not a sell out, I’d imagine 45 mins longest wait.

Even with Mcclean out, Ireland still have a decent starting 11 - albeit a weaker squad.
Someone on Ybig posted that theres only 3/4 different players in Thursdays probable line up to the 11 that started in Cardiff. So still a very strong backbone. Not getting carried away thinking this is going to be easier than last time round,
And with all the carry on off pitch, Ireland are a wounded animal, and wounded animals are.............the most dangerous.
However I'm not dismissing the fact this is a great chance to start off with a win.

James McCarthy, Harry Arter, Declan Rice, Shane Long, Robbie Brady and James McClean are all first team players when fully fit. The likes of Sean Maguire and Scott Hogan are decent back-up strikers who we are even without for this game. Randolph Coleman Duffy Clark Ward Hendrick McCarthy Rice Arter Brady Long That's nearly a full Premier League team barring the goalkeeper and Randolph to be fair to him is probably amongst the best 'keepers in the Championship at the moment. What you will face on Thursday will be a mismatch of a Premier League backline, and a very average Championship standard midfield and attack.

Let me know your thoughts! I personally prefer your +50 min side ...just thinks it’s far to comfortable for the Irish centre half’s and immobile left back if we start Vokes ....I’d love us to stick Bale right up there with Ramsey behind and Brooke’s/ Wilson wide one side Lawrence the other. They want A big guy for they can get tight to in traditional positions on the park, they won’t want Bale pulling them towards our goal leaving space for him to spin in behind or Ramsey run beyond. I m convinced this is our future I’d love us to start this Giggs era this way however it could take these Nations League games and friendlies to evolve this brave new way. My worry is we will play 5 at the back - Allen plus Ledley or Ampadu deep and then it makes it Ramsey Bale and Vokes... fine away when we soak up pressure but I want to see Brooke’s / Wilson / Lawrence going at them at pace ..... but at last we have options 😄 good read 👍

Vokes has played every game under Giggs so far so chances of him starting again are high imo. Denmark will be a different story if they field that supposed weakened team. I can't see Ampadu starting against Ireland because he hasn't played any senior football this season yet, though if things stay as they are, he will definitely start the Denmark game. He will also come on against Ireland in the second half I reckon. Ampadu is definitely one for the near future though, in Euro qualifying (beginning in March) I think he'll be a regular starter for us.

If we're up by at least a couple of goals in either of, or in both games, I definitely think Ethan, Brooks and Wilson will be brought on. This could be a wonderful opportunity to get the younger players capped.

That is if you're going westbound on the m4!
