Should we call off tonight's game for you to allow Declan Rice to make his mind up. From What your saying Denmark should complain about Ireland playing a weakened team tonight Denmark will play the best side they have available as will Ireland tonight. Who these players are makes no difference There is something in the rules about teams being required to select their best players. While there's one or two players lucky to be in the squad, and some who are unlucky not to be in it, it's still the best squad available to us at this moment in time. Denmark's situation is the opposite, all of their players are fit and ready to play, but they have not been selected due to off the pitch issues. This Denmark issue aside how do you enforce, police, or quantify this rule? It's completely subjective.

And before anyone mentions Italy vs Ireland at Euro 2016 - that was a squad full of players that Italy deemed good enough to bring to the tournament.

How many need to refuse to play before sanctions take place? Y This is a unique situation and maybe for once we will be the beneficiaries, let's face it we have had enough shit thrown at us over the years.

Good morning lovely Welsh fans , here we go again ! Buzzing for tonight's game but can I just say on here , let's take things one game at a time . Forget the crap about the Denmark game and concentrate on beating the Irish ! No competitive game is going to be easy for us no matter what players are in or out of the side . Let's just get behind the boys for 90 minutes and give them our best support as usual. Cymru Am Byth

Head of Danish FA says negotiations are back under way. UEFA you just won't see a situation where Ragball Rovers would be allowed to play against Wales in what is a competitive match.

I don't see the relevance of Arter and Rice to be honest, especially when the rest of the players in and around our squad are playing at a similar level. There's a difference between Eriksen and a futsal player though.

It's ok for us on here to discuss it as it's a valid talking point. I agree however that Giggs, the staff and the players must focus solely on Ireland and dismiss 'Danishgate' until after this match.

Western Mail has named their predicted starting X1 with only Lawrence of our youngsters included. Surprising Andy King's been included considering his current situation at Leicester City (experience perhaps).

King has been given the squad number 8, which implies he’s further up the pecking order than Ledley and any of the kids.
Bit worrying that he’s getting no game time these days but thankfully he’ll have wee Joe not too far away.

If I were you guys I'd be in the same boat and would be like yes, thanks very much for the 3 points. But just take your fan hat off for a moment. This is the inaugural UEFA Nations League. They're shiny new trophy. I do feel that something will be sorted out in the next 24 hours. I have a feeling that UEFA will come down hard on the Danish FA with possible ramifications otherwise. I do think if it goes ahead there will probably be massive protests from the Irish FA, possibly resulting in Denmark being thrown out of Nations league with all points voided. Once again taking off the fan hat, UEFA have too much at stake to just shrug their shoulders and go "shit happens". Not sure why Irish FA care........
On the other hand FAI do care..............

And what about if they play their full side, switching squads 24 hrs before the game. Is that fair? You should be preparing, as if you were playing the full Danish team. If your staff have their heads screwed on, they will have made the players aware that this situation is fluid, and not to rest on their laurels, as there is every chance you'll be up against Eriksen and Co. come Sunday. I would expect and hope that this is the case. Even Giggs stated yesterday that he thinks this might still be resolved. It would be a poor manager indeed who decided to focus on beating the futsal side once news broke out that the Danish players' Association were in trouble - should always prepare for worse/ hardest case scenario.

Was hoping we had moved passed King, however I think he gets too much stick on here.
Think it is a pretty negative line-up and really pissed off that Dumnuts might start.

First goal vital. If we score first Think it could be 3-0.
However, If they get one I think we will struggle to get anything.
Let's be optimistic and go 3-0

A little bit of me will die if Vokes and King are named in the starting XI. 'Expansive, free slowing football' my arse. Have some balls Giggs for goodness sake please.

Giving someone the 8 shirt usually implies they’re in the first choice 11. This was probably the case in previous squads but Ledley forced his way into contention with better performances. Will that be the case today though? Find out soon eh?

King would’ve been given the 8 shirt by default.

I might go 0-0 (only because if I predict an extravagant score, I'll end up jinxing it!).

I’m aware of the many foibles of modern football but since you’re such an authority on the subject, I’ll take your word for it.
Anyway, neither King or Ledley are playing particularly well at the moment so praise be West Wales’ answer to Jesus will grace the field with his presence. Let’s hope he lasts the 90 this time.

There is five full backs in the match squad, not five full backs starting. It makes sense as we’ve so many injured wingers and midfielders, that one or Seamus Coleman or Matt Doherty could start on the right wing, with the other at full back.
