I don't think the FAW can win here. Considering the delays to get into stadiums like Serbia I can't imagine how much of a hassle it'll be with every ticket being checked with every ID at the turnstile.

Whilst I applaud some changes are made, this does not stop someone from purchasing ticket and not travelling (yes it does happen - a group were caught buying Albania tickets)

Would rather harvested tickets be sold on rather than have empty seats

Each ticket has a barcode which is scanned upon entry obviously, the home FA could just tell the FAW which of our tickets were not used?

All seems ott IMO.Flights and hotels booked January.3 aways in last 12. Did go to Denmark(home end so dosnt count obvs). 2 chances of getting a ticket for either game,no hope and Bob Hope. Not 2 bothered about Osijeck travelling from Zagreb bad enough but stadium is a shithole and a disgrace their allowed to play there. Have hope if not expectation of getting in in Budapest either home end or pick one up on the day, some people may be unable to travell for whatever reason with changed circumstances. Some perpective needed, many in our situation no doubt.

I was more surprised at how many were going anyway ( I'm in that group ). Even more astonishingly was the number going with entitlement to tickets. You could probably have more than sold the allocation of 1100 to the 3,000 or so Cardiff fans at Fulham yesterday. When will our support get back to normal ? Not anytime soon hopefully. As an aside very healthy numbers already booked up for Azerbaijan.

Seems like the Croatian team are only getting together a week before our match.

Considering the delays to get into stadiums like Serbia I can't imagine how much of a hassle it'll be with every ticket being checked with every ID at the turnstile. Does anyone have any info of how this is going to be implemented / enforced? Are the FAW going to stand at the gate and check the ID of every fan as they enter the stadium? As with many "name on ticket" schemes, the person who loses out isn't the harvester, but the end user who potentially unknowingly bought the ticket 2nd or 3rd hand, and is then denied entry as their name doesn't match.

The 'name on ticket' scheme/idea is solely to comply with Hungarian law so I very much doubt it will be the FAW doing the checking.

I’ve read it’s what they do in Hungary rather than an FAW incentive

I was going off the info in the tweet above from FSF which implied it was to combat harvesting. In reality as you say (and now confirmed in subsequent tweets by FSF) it has nothing to do with harvesting and is Hungarian law.

ID checks in Croatia too? Yet allocation and ticket prices still not announced. Absolute farce.

Croatia has been a disgrace from the start with the shite venue then the cancelling and UEFA inspection before the venue was finally given the green light , then they go and play Azerbaijan in Zagreb !!!! Should have switched these fixtures in my opinion or is it to piss off Wales ?

FSF just posted pictures on Twitter and says that Osijek isn't fit for purpose for the game. Know it just adds to the uncertainty but would they push for the game to be moved? Looks awful there!

The only good thing about this stadium is that it is going to be torn down later this year... No idea what UEFA were thinking of when they cleared it. The photos speak volumes - and add 30c-35c and no roof ;-(

We are booked on the Wonky Sheep trip and staying the night in Osijek so yes , got no choice . Originally we would have just stayed in Zagreb and not travelled but they changed the hotel for the last night .

Not much there in sightseeing or bar/restaurant wise with a dump of a stadium Be wary of your surroundings as well
