Nothing confirmed for away fans yet. FAW contacting UEFA for clarity. Can't remember UEFA allowing only away fans into stadiums before. I would hope that even a partial stadium closure would allow all Welsh fans into the stadium.

Surely a fine and a points deduction along with a future ban for their away supporters would impact more on them ? It's crazy from UEFA to do this 2 weeks prior to a game where tickets have been sold and travel arrangements bought and paid for .

FAW seeking clarification and will update in due course. Seems they hadn't been informed when the ban was announced.

I did warn you that a Slovakia win out in Budapest is not going to bode well.
From a Welsh qualification perspective, this could work in our favour, surely?
I'd be happy to sit in a bar in Trnava, if that means we win the match.

From Corky on Facebook:
"Sorry for no updates about Slovakia but things have been going on we are making representations to UEFA through the FSE and the FAW are also in touch with UEFA fighting the case for the Welsh fans but its going to be difficult to overturn the decision but if Slovakia appeal it. Which they are saying they are doing, then the decision can be postponed until the hearing which would be after our game leaving us free to attend but messing up plans of the next set of fans due to visit there which also stinks because its nobodies faultother than the Slovakia fans but at least that would give more notice to those fans unlike the few weeks we have.
We are still going to put our FSA CYMRU guide online today for the match and have not given up believing thete is a chance we can all attend the game.. Dont raise your hopes though..but dont give in just yet there is still a chance but we need official confirmation and the FAW will put a statement when they know all the facts... But have promised us that they are fighting our case"

Don't see why they can't apply the ban to the Slovakia v Azerbaijan match in November.

Uefa & Common sense.
An obvious alternative is to ban Slovakia fans from away games and/or limit their home attendance.

UEFA have confirmed the ban will apply to all fans and that the FAW can't appeal. FAW still putting the case across that our fans shouldn't be punished.
Slovakian FA still intend to appeal.
It says the ban doesn't apply to 200 visiting fans in the VIP section so you lucky bastards with category 1 tickets look OK regardless.

But they don't care about fans do they,as long as the sponsors, media, press and TV companies are all kept nice and sweet. It does make you wonder though would large football nations such as Germany,Spain and France with all of their political and financial clout have been treated in a similar manner. "

I thought this was some bad Septamber 'April fool' - but its real.
How on earth can UEFA come up with that as a sensible solution. Yes punish Slovakia - No don't punish away fans. Fans with an excellent reputation and who have committed a lot of money to travel etc.
Write to UEFA, tweet UEFA, etc copy in the media. Be firm but be polite.
And I see from the UEFA website Hungary too have to play next match behind closed doors.

Just in case anyone missed it, the Hungarian FA have also been ordered to play their next home game, v Azerbaijan on 13 October, behind closed doors.
Could make life even more difficult for Hungary, who are really touch and go for a play-off spot (even if they finish third).

so as it stands its behind closed doors. Slovakia are going to appeal? when will we know the results of this? From what’s been said, if they appeal this would take place after our game so the punishment could be delayed pending the appeal. If this is true, then it just depends on Slovakia putting in the appeal, which they quite strongly said they would. Suppose it must take a few days to put together an appeal but time is tight now. Has anybody read their charge sheet to see when they have until to submit an appeal?

So I've just had a quick look through the disciplinary/appeals process on UEFA website here. Appeals have to be submitted within 3 days of notification of the punishment, but this length can be shorted to ensure the smooth running of the competition (wouldn't think this is applicable here). They then have 5 days to submit the evidence/basis for the appeal. The key bit is Article 62: "Article 62 Stay of execution 1 An appeal has no staying effect on the execution of the decision. 2 The chairman may, on receipt of a reasoned request, award a stay of execution." So looks like it's up to the chairman (I presume of the appeals panel) to decide if they get a stay of execution, if Slovakia make the request. If the appeal goes ahead, the chairman sets a date when that will take place, but I can't see any further information about when this would take place/if it needs to take place before the next game or a certain time frame. So, as far as I can understand, we're at the mercy of the Slovakian FA having submitted an appeal, the chairman deciding to give a stay of execution if requested by the Slovakian FA, and the case being heard after our game. This wouldn't be unreasonable but this is UEFA. There's a lot of information there that was hard to get through at stages, so if anybody else wants a look through to try and make more sense of it please do.

Using logic (so probably does not apply to Uefa), have the hearing after the Wales game.
Future ban would apply to Azerbaijan and their away following will fall under the 200 VIP tickets.
No need to punish Wales fans here.
Uefa need to look at their rules as well as this is damaging for football.
A 20k fine and banning away fans is not going to deter the racists.

Reading Article 14 then is this Slovakia's 2nd offence ? I know it is Hungary's 2nd due to the closure of a stand against us which is the 1st offence punishment .

Reading Article 14 then is this Slovakia's 2nd offence ? I know it is Hungary's 2nd due to the closure of a stand against us which is the 1st offence punishment . Gone back to the start of the campaign (not sure if it includes any charges from previous campaigns) but the have this current charge and another one that was issued on April 26th. The charges were illicit chants, throwing of objects, crowd disturbances, and blocked stairways. Reading that Article 14, it seems the charge for stadium closure is specific for two charges of racism, not simply two disciplinary charges, but the paragraph below also says they're able to add additional punishment if the case requires it.

If I have understood correctly, then under Article 25, a sanction can be imposed up to three years after the first offence. Not sure when the alleged first offence took place, or what it was in relation for.

I cannot find either anything stating how much notice prior to a closed door match that UEFA have to give to both nations , surely for our game given that thousands of tickets already sold should they not have selected this match and gone on to a future game which as so far zero ticket sales ?

The post from Slovakia FA says that if the appeal is un-successful then the stadium tickets will go to U-14 school children for free with 1 adult for every 3 kids , so much for " closed doors " then . This is turning into a farce and a very expensive one too !!!!
