I thought they had a new stadium in Bratislava? Trnava was good fun and cheap though - good luck Our FAI have been informed that the Slovakians want it to be played in Bratislava so it's looking likely it will be there. Cheers for the good wishes. Congratulations on qualification too

If in Bratislava the old town is the expensive part, especially the Dubliner. The other side of st Michaels gate was much cheaper, The KGB bar certainly worth a visit.
A few bars on that street, some leas obvious.
UFO tower worth going for the view (and a pint), and there is a boat that side of the river which is also a brewery.

Good cellar bar we found called Goblins which is quite cheap and also has live entertainment , it's up an alley opposite the Red Lion which is also a good pub . UFO worth a visit and a swift drink , also another good bar which is closer to the river called 17s .

Thinking of buying a home end ticket for our playoff in Slovakia next month.
How strict were they lads when the Welsh fans had home tickets? Did they refuse entry to a lot of away fans?

Not exactly answering your question. I was in the Welsh posh seats / half-way line, where we had a full lower tier.
There were two Slovakian fans among us, smack bang in the middle. They each were draped with a massive Slovakian flag and a tumbler / clown like flag hat.
No action at all was taken against them.
From our match in Bordeaux and our two matches with them, I'd say that you are ONE HUNDRED PERCENT SAFE. Great folk!

bump Thinking of buying a home end ticket for our playoff in Slovakia next month. How strict were they lads when the Welsh fans had home tickets? Did they refuse entry to a lot of away fans? Was in the Away end upper tier (right by the partition). A few Welsh fans (in full replica kits and flags) had brought tickets to the home end and placed themselves right by us (hoping this would disuade any targeting I imagine). Before the game stewards approached them, we thought to kick them out - but actually escorted them to the Away end.
Certainly not a zero tollerance policy, but maybe try not stick out like a sore thumb if you want to guarantee 90mins as that wasnt a do or die match.

<!----> I was also in those seats and yes, agree with manulike. There was a man, woman, and child in amongst us. Also, the food and beer stalls were up the top, available to both Welsh and Slovak fans. No problems whatsoever. As for tickets in Slovakia, no passport checks were done.

A group of boys we were with in Trnava bought tickets from a Slovak on the street in the home end. He told them to go in and offer the first steward €10 to get them in the away end. Fair to say they were with us in thee away end before the anthems had started

Have a feeling our game at end of March will not be going ahead. Slovakia are pretty much imposing border controls in checking people entering the country at airports / borders for temperature, particularly coming from Austria. If that is the case now then 2 weeks later it could be worse.
Apparently some illegal immigrants were stopped and their lack of ID's were ignored as long as they could pass the health check.
Going via Poland so had added Flex to a Wizzair ticket, ticket price now half what I paid for it in November so may cancel / rebook or wait and see what happens.
Booked Budapest - Sarajevo just in case, Wizzair changed the flight times and had made a double booking just in case, they changed the flight times and added 20% to the refund if leave on account. Cancelled one of the bookings but will leave other as valid until Bratislava game has happened or if it gets pulled get the refund.
I think clubs will start saying they do not want their million pound assets involved where they have zero control.

You could be right although when they signal the cancellation of the play offs they'll be signalling the cancellation of the tournament completely. They must be meeting today for the Nations league draw. Probably get some pertinent opinion and off the record comments out by the end of the day. Be very surprised if I'm back in Baku in June as things are looking right now.
