Birmingham to Bratislava for £88 on Ryan Air, when I booked it. From 8 to 12 October. Now its at £114.
Plenty of options to Vienna as well and its only €5 / 45 minutes from Vienna airport/downtown to Bratislava airport/downtown.
There were three different bus companies competing on that route - so buses at least hourly!

Stanstead to Brno in the Czech Republic is coming in under a £100 return. Getting in to the city Ctr from the airport is 10 mins on a service bus and then a train or executive coach to Bratislava s about 90 mins. Not as quick as a direct flight, but well worth keeping an eye on if flight prices rocket.

Katowice and Budapest also worth while airports to travel to as Katowice city is circa 4 hrs away and Budapest is 2 1/2 hrs away. But would only do these when airports closer are way more expensive.

I'm going direct to Bratislava from Manchester, Wednesday-Friday.
I stayed in Bratislava for the Austria game 2 years ago, I would recommend going up the castle and sampling some Borovička.
Most Welsh will flock to the Dubliner pub, which we drank dry last time.

Judging from the website, some of Wales' premier athletes think that he is alright as well! Thanks to the bosses advice, I think that I might be well enough to spend a week in Slovakia / Austria also ;-)

Have got my eye on this one as I've never been to Slovakia or the Czech Rep so would be a good chance to get to both over the weekend. Ticket would be tricky though, what are their crowds typically like at home?

Ticket would be tricky though, what are their crowds typically like at home? Bratislava is a an excellent city, stayed there for the Austria away game a few years back. Compact city so easy to walk around, lots of bars in centre, nice rum & cigar bar if you like that sort of thing and a castle on a hill, cant go wrong! And close to Czech Republic like you mentioned, i think Brno isnt too far, and also Austria is really close too. Think its a small stadium so even if they do allow us more than 5%, still not gonna be a great allocation.

Yeah I was thinking Brno, looks like a pretty straightforward train journey of a couple of hours from Bratislava. I would be on the hunt for spares or a home end ticket, I've only done one recent away so no chance through our allocation.

A helpful Slovakian fan posted some intel on the Euro 2020 forum: apostlewelshfootie.proboards.com/post/176635/threadWe will open a brand new stadium in Bratislava very soon it means it will be ready for march fixtures. Capacity is 22 500 and supposed to be ultra modern and located in the heart of Bratislava. For us is definitely interesting fixture against Hungary which we have not played with since 99 so 20 years. No friendlies with them allowed even under age therefore both nations have waited for long time for this to happened. It will not be only fight on the football field. We are happy to have Croatia. If Slovakia doesn’t qualify for the world cup or euro this is the team everybody follows in Slovakia. In my opinion we have the best football squad since winning euro in 1976. With good goalkeepers Dubravka (29, Newcastle), Rodak (22, Rotherham), with always reliable right back Pekarik (32, Hertha Berlin) solid centre backs specially Skriniar (23,Inter) and Vavro(22, Fc Kobenhaven) Skrtel is still good defenseman (34, Fenerbahce) finally we have found offensive left in Hancko (21, Fiorentina) who was our best player in last matches we have played. Midfield is strong with Lobotka (24, Celta Vigo) who is going to join PSG in winter. Kucka (31, Trabzonspor), off course Hamsik (31 Napoli) who doesn’t need an introduction, Duda (24 Hertha) who is the leading goalscorer in Bundesliga this season, Rusnak (24, Salt Lake city) voed as 3 best player in MLS, Stoch (29, Slavia) voted as best player in last season in Czech league and current leading goalscorer in same league. Bero (23, Vittese Arnhem) is find is old form and goals back in dutch league, Gregus (27, FC Kobenhaven) solid defensive midfielder. But what is the most important we have after years of struggling have a good frontmen in Zrelak (24, Nurnberg) who is the first choice in Bundesliga team at the moment accompanied with Mraz (21, Empoli) which is our hope for the future and Mak (27, Saint Petersbourg) who is having very good season with the Russian best team. We have had a bad LN matches thanks to some unrest in the team towards the manager Kozak who has left after a row with some players and we have appointed Hapal who led most of the team in under 21 euro championship in 2017. Team is very young and in the match against Sweden played in October the team we have had on the pitch was the youngest ever (I think average 23).

Are they doing another Aviva on us, with only the Away end not having a roof?
Otherwise, very nice and quite central, about 2 miles NE of the old town.

Sadly, its barely an extra 3k seats, so still only a compulsory 1250 Away allocation. The Slovakian FA gave England and Scotland closer to 1800 tickets recently, that we are sure to snap up, as well ...
I imagine minimum criteria will be 7/12 last aways ... 6/12 at a push.

glad when those china/mexico drop out of the counting Must admit that from the 400 or so out in China, only a handful were not hard core Away addicts... And even they were mostly local / ex-pats that didn't get their tickets from the FAW. I'd say that around 95% of those out in China / LA have 10/12 at least...
