Corky said it in a reply to another poster on Wonky Sheep's travel page on facebook. Looks like he said it around 3:30pm so not sure if that's before the last ticket window opened at 2pm or as the latest update at the time. |

If opting for Thursday, you will be comfortably in Trnava for lunchtime!
Budapest back to Liverpool on Saturday on Wizz Air is only £25 (Bratislava to BUD airport is around 3 hours).
Budapest back to Manchester on Friday on Jet2 is £55
Bratislava back to Manchester on FRIDAY at 1840 is £150 on Ryan Air

A lot of people will only manage 1 or 2 aways a year so will have gone for Croatia/Hungary. Coupled with the clamp down on harvesting and us doing shit, it makes sense really. |

Most of us knew this would work so hopefully the policy remains going forward.

my lad got a ticket today row 2 area 15 That is very interesting. As the lower tier is no longer available / fully booked - that indicates that there were at least 30-40 seats sold this morning in the lower tier as well as 100 or so in the upper tier - Sektor 47, which is now up to row 4.
As of 11.40am:
Circa 400 left in upper tiers (ten more rows to fill in 47 + circa 120 seats in 46) Surprisingly ... there are not many takers for the £35 tickets ... only FOUR tickets were sold in last two stages ... so about 160 still available here ;-))
I would be pretty surprised if Red Wall members dont ALL get tickets in the upper stand, leaving the 100 odd to go for general sale.

Respectfully, I disagree. Following the ticket sale phases very closely these last 4 years, stage 1 sales have ALWAYS been circa 85% uptake, sometimes more. That was especially so, when the allocation was low and points needs were high.
Stage 2 has usually been 50% uptake and then the following stages closer to 25% or so.
There is very little difference in the pattern of sales this week. Stage one this time (1700) was really a combination of the hard-core 800-900 regulars together with the 50/50 goers.
I am not saying that there was no harvesting going on previously - I simply believe it was a very minor element. Certainly less than 5%.

LAST MINUTE TRNAVA ACCOMMODATION
Especially for Matthew and Lucy ... for those that want to be fairly near to the stadium but on a tight budget, the official hostel in town has plenty of availability, as it is NOT listed on Booking.com etc. Its 1km from the Stadium and 1.3km from the Train Station. Note, it is the wrong side of the stadium to the old town (2km). Uber to the hostel from the old town would only be about €3...
Single room €18 Double room ONLY €24
Triple for €36
4-bed for €48
