There was always massive demand for the first away game in a group even before we were successfull. 2000 tix for this instead of around 1k or just over for the first 2. As alluded to earlier in thread,Wales Away twitter reported up to 200 red wall members not allowed to get tickets for this after Croatia/Hungary?Whatever,delighted to get tickets at stage 4 ,3 aways, totally unexpected. Some of us might go by train all the way for a change.Cant fly direct anyway. Care to share a link or pic which shows that 200 red wall members are banned from getting tickets for Slovakia away?

No an earlier poster on this thread thought it was 200. Wales Away twitter tweeted on August 2 that letters had been sent out (didnt say how many ) and that some fans werent allowed to get tickets for Slovakia and had their points swiped for Croatia or Hungary. Doubt if theres a link that could prove this but Wales Away twitter said theyd seen a copy of the letter sent out to a member.

I think the lower demand for this is driven by a few factors. 1. Crack down on harvesting 2. Slovakia in October is less appealing than Croatia in June 3. We're effectively out of the running in the group We are not out of the running in the group at all. Yes we have played 3 and lost 2. However, every game in this group has been won by the home team except the games involving Azerbaijan - where whoever has played Azerbaijan has won. We are also the only team not to play Azerbaijan at all so far. If we win on 6th Sept v Azerbaijan and Slovakia beat Croatia (Slovaks are home) - then the group will be - Hungary & Slovakia P4 W3 Pts9 Croatia & Wales P4 W2 Pts6. Croatia would've played Hungary and Slovakia away losing both. We would've played Croatia and Hungary away losing both. Slovakia would've played just us away losing. Hungary would've played just Slovakia away losing. So as it stands right now we are the only side to play 2 out of the other 3 strong teams away from home. This group is probably going to come down to whoever can take away points off the other strong 3 teams - which will make 10th October interesting as it's us in Trnava and Hungary travel to Split. The likelihood is we will have to win out in Slovakia to have any chance of topping the group because we lost in Osijek & Budapest, but it's really important we don't lose at home to Croatia and probably will have to beat Hungary in the last group game to qualify. If anything it's more important not to drop points at home at the current time than gain away points, but as soon as somebody gets away points, other than those out in Baku, is when the group will start to change.

I admire your optimism but I've seen next to nothing that suggests we'll qualify. For another thread though.

BALLET AND OPERA
For those of you still lucky enough to be in Bratislava on the Saturday after our game, The National Theatre is putting on the romantic classic Ballet of Giselle, at 7pm in the stunning old historical building.
On the Friday, they have the Opera of Don Carlo - but that is in the NEW BUILDING ...
I know this is in jest, but seriously - no Wales 'fan' should be in Bratislava on Saturday night with us playing home to Croatia the next day.

Will most fans be staying in Bratislava? Looks like it. A lot booked before the fixture was confirmed in Trnava. Plus there are fan buses available to book for a return trip on the day so not too hard. And I assume it'll be a bit better for the atmosphere/drinks.

I really do not believe the so called elite harvest tickets we are supporters who have been going a very long time before the euro bandwagoners jumped on which has made demand much higher. I believe it is the supporters trying to climb up the ladder in the lower categories obsessed with the word harvesting who are actually the guilty individuals who do this.

I believe it’s across the board as shown by ROI away last year. For Croatia and Hungary approx 200 were caught and this only went to stage 3 so don’t see how you can blame the newbies here?

I had to leave my group in the Jewish Quarter and head to the Hungary match alone as I was the only one with a ticket. A couple were tagging along for the trip abroad and had never watched us away. More just five nights in the sun with cheap beer.

Anybody else receive the email below from the FAW today?

Yes. I guess people will need to wait a week or so before being notified. It's good that the FAW is effectively giving people a final chance to notify them if they can no longer travel. Good and promising progress
