Well someone’s got to take the long throws.

Cardiff should try for Woodburn on loan and look at J Williams. I want to see more Welsh players in Cardiff’s squad and I kind of think that ledley was holding out to see if they got relegated

Warnock has no interest in Welsh players.
He will continue to take journeyman with something to prove and have usually played for him before.
Not one academy youngster has been given a chance for a long time so I cant see him taking Woodburn and probably not William's as he likes to pass the ball.

Going to brave the elements today on the Ninian and looking forward to seeing Will's famous celebration ;-)

Hard to do that from a sitting position

Did well when he came on, will play more when Warnock inevitably reverts to his 4-3-3

I don't mean to be nasty, but does he suit a possession based game?

He doesn’t suit a non possession based game. He was rubbish again for Cardiff last night who had less than 30% of the ball.

He stood out last year for Rotherham, puts a shift in and has one hell of an acrobatic celebration. He does a lot of charity work also and is undeniably likeable. However Is he good enough for Cardiff or Wales? Has to be no from me I'm afraid. It's a shame as it could have gone either way at one point.

Despite what the City supporters on here think (and I look forward to seeing Will again in person on Friday night v Fulham) - I genuinely feel that he may well have a major role to play v Azerbaijan. We need goals in that game, as Hungary (3) and Slovakia (5) both beat them already out in Baku. If Giggs goes with Ampadu/Smith + Allen, I fear we might struggle to get a 2-0.
Both Jamie Lawrence and Will (despite existing misgivings defensively) give us plenty going forward. I would sooner win 6-3 than 2-0. Knowing that there is a chance of making it 6-1...

Sorry about that manulike. I put out there for opinions with a question. I'm just being impartial offering both sides of what I've seen.

How does Vaulks give us plenty going forward?

I think some people are writing Vaulks off too soon. He definitely hasn't impressed at Cardiff as of yet, but he's barely played. When he has played, he's been a part of a terrible team performance - hardly the best environment to make your mark on a new team (every Cardiff performance has been bad this season so you can't really blame him for them). The ball also spends most of the time in the air, bypassing the midfield completely. I'd say the only thing we can learn so far is that he's probably not good enough to lift a whole team by himself, but not many people can do that. He's unlikely to ever be anything better than a solid Championship player, but I definitely think he can be useful to both Cardiff and Wales.
Unfortunately, Warnock seems to have already made a scapegoat out of him (as he often does with a player that makes a mistake, if that player isn't one of his favourites). He holds grudges too, so I can't see Vaulks getting much of a chance to make up for it unless Warnock's desperate.

How does Vaulks give us plenty going forward? His long throw as a great weapon, allowing us to use Bale's aerial ability. He is not shy of taking players on and shooting from distance as well.
Will ran the show v TnT last year and I feel that Azerbaijan are not much better than them, judging by their defeats to Hungary and Slovakia at home.

I haven't seen him for Cardiff I've written him off based on how he played for Rotherham and Wales.

Not even a sub's appearance ;-(
Once again, I was subjected to 93' of sheer dross from the Ninian - albeit in gorgeous sunny weather...
If Warnock thinks he can keep me on-side with the occasional 20' ... Well. I'd rather go and watch BRISTOL CITY ;-))
Put the Dragon back into the bluebirds!

Bacuna has found some form, and with Pack returning from injury in a couple of weeks I can't see Vaulks getting much gametime any time soon

Not in the Cardiff squad tonight, we might need him next month so hopefully he gets some game time before then.

Why on earth did Cardiff sign him? He’s a decent championship player who’s wasted. 1.5m is a lot of player for a side like Cardiff to be benching or completely dropping.
Between Jazz Richards and the youngsters, Warnock has completely destroyed any Welsh soul the club has.

Warnock is doing the same thing that has got him promotion so many times, he's ruthless in a process that has worked for him.
At some point though this process was going to stop working as football moves on.
He'll likely finish with Cardiff mid table, and then retire. Then hopefully Cardiff can move on.
