Hope they get absolutely smashed! Lingard is crap and the worst of the forward players and Gibbs W adds little. Brennan needs to be in the game more but I fail to see what the other two have done that is contributing far more! Neco improved the last game and then got hooked. If Forest are gonna stay up they need out two gems firing on all cylinders but this risks damaging their confidence. Neco did not leave the Liverpool bench to sit on the bench of a far inferior team and there will be clubs ready to bid for Brennan who was loyal to Forest when many other would have agitated for the move to the PL last year Looks like you got your wish. 4-0, Johnson and Williams on

Who’s this Nelson kid at Arsenal? Why cant we produce one decent forward prospect? England seem have a few popping up every season thesedays.

I'm pretty confident Johnson would have scored a few more goals this season playing in that Arsenal team.

I'm more than happy to see players benched at the moment. There'll be loads of knackered players and players carrying injuries in Qatar. We could be in much better placed with players raring to go. I see Rodon starts on the bench and Ampadu is on from the start of their respective games. I was thinking exactly the same thing when I saw all three Welsh boys on the bench!

Just 2 weeks left to sweat. Most probably won't play more than another 2 / 3 games although Ben Davies may get a bit more time as Spurs have 4 left. Fingers crossed

How quickly was it 1-1 after he came on? Did anyone else see the urgency in the throw into the box that won the penalty. What a difference maker. Was positive the second he came on. Start him v Iran I don’t care god it’s done just do it.

Instrumental against the Belgians at home, and the Dutch away

If we start with purpose against Iran then by the hour mark he'd be a brilliant sub to come on, that pace and movement after an hour of football in the heat could be a deciding factor. We simply have to win tomorrow and Brennan could be the difference.

I would start him against that suspect England defence.

Of course, but its unlikely to make much difference to the outcome.
Moore and James (who is out of form though) and Johnson would suit. Why not throw in Sorba instead of Conor Roberts? His deliveries are usually very good and he would obviously be more attacking - we need to find Moore - Roberts has been awful and seldom puts in dangerous crosses.

Get some accurate crosses in to Moore and get James and Brennan pressing. Not much else left in the armoury based on yesterday.

I'd 100% start Johnson in this one, on the right hand side with James on the left and Kieffer up top. I think Neco will be going right back against England with Davies left back. We're too easy to get through with three at the back because Wilson, Bale and Ramsey offering nothing defensively left Ampadu criminally exposed trying to protect the back line and with three at the back they keep trying to play football and playing themselves into trouble, again because the likes of Bale and Ramsey weren't getting into space and using the ball carefully when they did get it.

Didn't bring much to the party when he came on.
Wonder if he has found his level?

I think he was more affected by our inability to string a single pass together and whatever the fuck Page is coaching the team to do. That said, I do think he'll limit himself if he stays another season at Forest.

He’s not the child prodigy he looked in the championship but that’s fine, this World Cup was too soon for him.

Yeah I think that's fair, could argue that 2 big challenges (PL + World Cup) have come at once which isn't ideal He'll still be big for us

Steady regular prem player most likely rather than a top 4 team mainstay

In hindsight, reaching the PL with Forest was really poor timing in terms of this WC. He looks devoid of confidence. Being in a team right at the bottom of the PL and being in and out of the side (of late) has really knocked him. He was vastly better and more confident when scoring hatfuls in the Championship

A good point. That could be relevant to the Mullin thread. Full of confidence and scoring 30 in the 5th tier or scoring 10 in the championship? Is confidence key to him earning a call up?

Maybe if they had lost to Huddersfield and been sold to Bretford, who are much more in games, it would have been better, even if he wasn't a regular starter.

im delighted Brennan only played 90 mins at the world cup. He will come back to Nottingham to prove all you doubters wrong. He is only going to improve from this experience and above all he will be working under a proven winner as a coach.
