To be fair, I maybe wrong but he did have a check from the Wales camp and for a player recently injured/carrying an injury, an away game in Croatia is not the same as a home game a few miles from where you live.

Is he still in the squad for Tuesday or out of both games? Even if he is fit I can see the argument for saving him for Tuesday anyway, massive game for us.

Absolute joke of a situation. Thanks Cooper you faux Welshman. He will guaranteed be starting for Forest straight after the int break. Why are we so weak when it comes to standing up to clubs? This would never happen with an English player. Think you might be wrong about it not happening with english players Marcus Rashford pulled out of this set of matches & his club has allowed him to New York are you saying he wont be fit for Man Utd game at Newcastle and Pope. wont be fit for that game also. Page wont miss him that much on the evidence of his none selection at the World Cup

The wording seems to suggest he may be available for Tuesday.

11th March picks up injury against Spurs 17th March plays 90 against Newcastle 25th March due to play against Croatia 28th March due to play Latvia 1st April due to play Wolves
It was irresponsible of Forest to play him 6 days after he was injured but we can't stop them as they own the player
Now we're in a situation where he would have to play 4 games in 14 days after an injury, if he plays both for us
Forest have forced our hand here, if we play him in both he'll probably get injured. And rather than flog him against Croatia - a game we can afford to lose - we're keeping him back for Latvia
It makes sense given the situation Forest have put us in tbh. But they should not have used him against Newcastle

At this point, I’m just laughing. It’s very difficult for a small country to contend with a small pool of players and a string of injuries. However, when you compound things with acts of idiocy you’re really asking for trouble.

I hope a trend doesn't develop here. Anyway, we've got others, I love Brennan but if he's not there for whatever reason (personally I'd be coming out myself and explaining it rather than this being left somewhat in the dark) a door opens for somebody else.

Bloody hell, I feel so angry about this situation. It's no good Page saying now that he should have been stronger. Cooper seems to be a massive bellend with no particular care for Wales, and why's Johnson being so weak in all of this? He's one of Forest's best players so has leverage. Looks like he's willing to prioritise club football over Wales.
This isn't like bloody England missing out on Rashford, they can just bring in two or three other world class players to replace him, we don't have that luxury. He's our only proper high quality goalscoring threat. Anyone who thinks the likes of Bradshaw will offer any sort of comparable threat are completely deluded.

Bloody hell Pagey. Should be doing everything to get our best player in camp and assess for ourselves. Amateur hour.

In the mad even that we lose the opening two games that's probably effectively us out of the qualifying equation. The worry then is that we have more pull outs in the future and players disinterested in turning up for what they or their clubs may see as meaningless games, it's not like we haven't had this before and we all know what it meant when that happened.
All hypothetical at this point in time of course but this is how my brain works with Wales when things like this happen.

Robert Page having a nightmare here FAW within their rights to make any player , Brennan in this case to report to team hotel on scheduled day , so why didn’t Robert Page insist on this
Ghastly error

Frustrating.
He was holding his leg a little bit towards end of Everton game but played Spurs away; he came off Spurs away with rumours of him needing to drop out of Wales camp but he started Newcastle at home; and he played 90 mins Newcastle at home.
Not about him as a player, just general frustration of club side not resting him for a game then it leading to this. But club side would point to wider injuries and medical staff saying he's fit to play for them.
It's just frustrating that every body in football wants more football and less time between games which will more likely lead to scenarios like this.
I don't know why I took so many words to say what everyone already feeling mind.

We do need to play longer term game here though.
Brennan being on top of his game and in the premier League is ultimately good for us.
No need to spiral into lot's of negativity.
Keep our chins up, get as much as we can out of the two games and come back stronger in the summer. Qualification campaigns are a long process.

Why would the club want to rest him ? Star player Relegation battle Rob Page has balls this up by not insisting he reports to be assessed by FAW medical team Simple

I'm far from the most negative guy on here, but I don't get some of these sentiments - meaningless platitudes like 'when one door closes, another one opens' and that we 'need to play the long game'. These are crucial games. We've already lost a massive amount of quality. It's infuriating that we're now missing another of our best players due to a mix of incompetence and disinterest, all from supposed Welshmen. I just don't think we have enough quality to be competitive in the Croatia game, and now our forward line will be severely blunted against Latvia in that must-win. Anything less than 3 points in these games, and our chances diminish considerably.

Surely Aaron Collins comes in now or Page goes leftfield and calls up Iwan Morgan.
Personally I'm a little annoyed with Brennan, he could have a say, him being silent at this point, not even expressing disappointment at not being able to play a part of the next few days, suggests that this could become a bigger problem for us in the future.

In defence of Page, he shouldn't have to be fighting for players to join up, they should be fighting to join up. It's a worse look for Brennan than anyone right now, he's not injured enough to not play, as he's proven.

Fuck Forest and Cooper. I’ve been quite supportive of Cooper and wantinh them to stay up because of the whole Welsh connection. However, fuck them now, hope they go down and Johnson signs for another team.
This is shocking, from the FAW too, dark ages stuff. I’ve heard some rumours that things are being run badly on a player communication level, turns out those rumours were not wrong. Page should be on the phone to Brennan. Wtf is going on.
Where is Mooney in all of this? Tweeting crap as usual?

If Johnson has done this for them what's stopping him from doing it elsewhere? Once a player does something like this once they often repeat it unless something big happens. Don't call him up for the group of matches, that's an option I'd consider. I know it might be seen to be cutting off your nose to spite your face but this kind of thing just isn't on.

Howver the relationship seems to have been bittered already judging by the lack of communciation going on. Page appears weak, johnson appears not bothered. What a shit show. Johnson needs to be talked to though. This is shocking.

In hindsight I wish we'd been firmer with Giggs, stopped calling him up, we achieved nothing during his time with us and it just added to the embarrassment and the what could have been thinking. The more I think about it the more disappointed with Brennan I get, like you say, he doesn't appear to be bothered whereas Bale would piss off the biggest club in the World to get on the pitch for Wales.

The communication is poor as after Gareth Bale retired Page stated he did not expect any more retirements. The same Page who took journeyman Jonny Williams to the World Cup ahead of promising youngsters playing at a higher level, with Williams saying thank you afterwards and retiring at only 29.Hope Noel Mooney is observing all this.
