Pace is a killer at any level in football, throw a bit of ability and composure into the mix and it can often be the difference in a match, Brennan looks like he's developing well.

Probably a bit of a killer blow for Forest and a sign of their ambition. Brentford is potentially the best of moves given how they have become something of a shop window for young players in recent times.

Not for me. Brentford will be back in Championship either this year or next.

Very impressive goal v County. Started the move with a cross field pass from half way line and finished it off with an effective one two. Must be very popular in the Midlands today
Lawrence could have scored twice ... and won a pen in the dying mins, which he went on to socre

I hope Page knows how to use him in our World Cup play off(s). You had Bale and Ramsey at their peak, then below them, Brooks (lets hope he makes a full recovery) and Johnson stand out as special. Ramsey, Brooks and Johnson are natural footballers. They just have a natural feel for the game and make so many correct decisions (in Ramsey's case when he is in the groove). Always pick the natural footballers when there is a choice to be made.
Look forward to see what this kid can do for Wales in the years ahead if he can stay clear of major injuries.

Yeah I think that's a good point. I think he's the type of player where he can struggle to impose himself on games if he's not used in the right way, which might explain why he's been quiet in some of the games for us. I think Cooper knows exactly how to use him - he leaves him far upfield and allows him to play on the shoulder.

That’s a hell of a pass. What concerns me slightly is that it sounds like he blows hot and cold a lot, but for a young player I guess that’s normal. Wasn’t he supposed to be a Brentford player now? I wonder what’s happened there 🤔

For me he should be Bale’s replacement if he’s unavailable or upon his retirement- which I think will either be in the summer, or hopefully *touches a wooden object* December.
He’d be ahead of Wilson in that space for me, who I think I’d have as the first port of call should Ramsey be missing.

We definitely have another productive attaching threat!
He was developing anyway but look how he has flourished under Cooper
This is what you'd hope Page can do. We have to use him productively in the play off(s)
He was the spark when Forest were on their knees and a key driver of their climb up the table at the age of just 20 !!!
He is continually getting better

Brentford are supposed to have improved their offer for him again this morning, closer to £18 million. If he joins them for that sort of money - a record deal for them, then they're going to be intending on using him plenty, and they look like they'll be in the Premier League next season so I'm all for a move.

He's been involved in more goals than any other U21 player in either the Prem, Champ, L1 or L2 so far this season. Big stats beginning to be associated with this kid...could be something special going on here.
Leeds now also reputed to be interested, vultures are circling. I do hope he stays however, I think a season staying put and (hopefully) going up with Forest would benefit him much more than breaking his flow of form to be a new face at a Prem club midway through his season would.
Keep this up and either move up in the summer or stay and test himself in the Prem with Forest, its only another 4 months.

Brentford is a good move, and I think he'd be a regular there immediately. They need a player in his position, the only other one who can do it is Mbeumo who has been very poor with his output this season. I think they'd probably use Mbeumo-Toney-Johnson as a front 3 tbh. Brentford improve players too, just look at the players they have sold on recently, exciting if he does move IMO

Mbuemo was one of the stars of the championship last season, but as you struggled to produce the numbers in the prem. There may be a lesson in that! There's nothing to suggest Johnson would be any better in making that step up, particularly if he's as quiet in his first few appearances as he's been for Wales. They also have Sergio Canos who again was a top championship player and produced a couple of goals and assists this season. He's much better off staying with Forrest for the rest of the season.

I think Brentford would be a good move but, and it almost feels like heresy to say it, like you I’m sceptical at what all the fuss is about as, for Wales, he’s been underwhelming so far, especially against Belarus, so not exactly against credible opposition. So on that basis he might not be ready for prem football yet. To be fair to him iirc he’s been a literal last minute substitute to waste time (bizarrely against Estonia) and that’s not helping anyone. Not great management from Page. So yeah it’s great seeing all the goal clips but I really hope we see some more of it in a Wales shirt soon!

I think you are missing his rate of development?
The Brennan at Lincoln was not the player the 18 year old was!
He has gone to a different level with Forest in a bigger league - you saw the stats above
For Wales he was finding his feet and was quit in the games you refer to but wait a moment - he did something productive never the less:
- He won the penalty vs Finland taking on his man in the box - He struck an excellent shot from outside on the edge of the penalty area - it was heading for the top corner
As I complained at the time then vs Estonia at home Wilson goes off injured and Page replace him with Joniesta for goodness sake! Then Harris comes on and then Page brings Brennan on in injury time at 0-0!! I lost a lot of faith in Page during that game
It was obvious then and it is massively obvious now than Brennan is a game breaker and far better than an extremely average player like Harris or even Tyler Roberts. He is so productive. The challenge for the manager and Brennan is to get him involved in the play as much as possible
Look how prolific he is in goal involvements - you can't even compare him to the likes of Roberts, Harris or Colwill because he is probably a factor of x5 better.
He is not Bale or a Ramsey in his prime but he is the next level and could be even more productive for us than Ramsey potentially if he stays injury free, especially when you consider he is only 20 and is learning very quickly!

Ramsey debuted for Wales at 17, scored his first goal at 18. At the same age he had an unbelievable game in the 3-0 win v Scotland where he set up two goals and scored the third with a solo effort. He's scored 20 goals for us in 71 appearances - from central midfield - and probably just as many assists. I think Brennan will do well to get close to that level of productivity.

The negative thing about this is Ward looks poor
Him and Rodon getting almost no game time is the big concern going into the play offs
