Play him through the middle with any of James, Wilson, Sorba, Brooks or even Burns either side of him, just play him through the middle and see what happens in a Bellamy team. I've said it before but if it's ever going to happen for him in a Wales shirt it will be under Bellamy. This for me Bellamy needs to let him be the main man up top

Watched most of the game.
Goal and assist, hard to complain about that. Hit the post as well with a decent trademark strike across the goal. Also did well defensively, and tracked back quite a bit.
Still think he has another gear or level to go up though!

I can't remember him being compared to Bale but what i do remember is some saying he should have played ahead of bale in the world cup which to me, and even with the benefit of hindsight is laughable. I am hoping he can move on under Bellamy and become a player who can be that difference maker when we really need it. Will that be the case I am very unsure. since this post he's had a massive uptake - these games will be good for him and i hope he plays both a good 70 mins. A good performance will have us raving about him being the next bale it doesn't take much

fingers crossed he continues that form in a red shirt, really hoping it is his time to kick on and not look back

Still think he has another gear or level to go up though! One of the main reasons I would like to see him play down the middle is that it will give him better angles to shoot from.

When he was at Forest he could score from both sides with either foot, and that's why Spurs handed over a pile of cash.

Brennan's shooting boots at play once again in Budapest! Don't mind if he doesn't score six in a row (come Sunday night, for Spurs vs Brighton), as long as he stays injury-free and is fit and rarin' to go (and to score) for Cymru!

The hottest property in the Premier League at present, Haarland included.
Brilliant stuff.

Good to see. Should have had at least two though. Werner’s cross was too heavy though.

The 8 mins highlights on Spurs' YouTube page of their League Cup game against Man City have several moments of Brennan Johnson making the right decision and executing well.
Of course 8 mins doesn't describe a game, but he seemed to link really well with Kulusevski who ended up with the assists.

Shocking lack of concentration for the Man City goal though.

He played well, some very nice touches and did well with the little ball he had. Took his one chance well, forcing a good save. He worked extremely hard and generally tracked back well, but can still be very defensively naive at times. Like Colwill, he just doesn’t sense danger and when it’s crucial not to let runners free
