Will the Euros take place? Italy and Spain don’t want it,The Dutch Government have said no spectators at any stadium till a vaccine is found,Wembley has four concerts booked in next year for the dates plus Hampden has a concert booked in.... IF they go ahead ( we only sold 3K for Baku) so no problem getting tickets for those games. Who will want to travel to Italy? The £400 is better in my account than theirs. Personally I don’t think Euros will go ahead ( certainly not in the format we previously thought) Nothing official has been said RE Italy and Spain. Spanish FA spokesperson said Bilbao was ready for 2021. Yeah Dutch said no but nothing official on EURO 2020 from anybody since the delay was announced back in March. Concerts don't mean jack, they can get moved - if thats official anyway, could be rubbish - I've not seen any advertised? Just means you have to apply again for tickets etc. Just seems a lot of extra messing about. If it doesn't go ahead you will get money back automatically. So you think everything will go ahead as normal yea? I’d admire your confidence ( or nativity!!) either way I’d prefer the money in my account than theirs. The same with the hotels and airlines. You say there has been no official announcement from UEFA likewise there has been no plans or confirmation of dates etc. If we only sold 3K ish for Baku that figure will be even less next year if it goes ahead so dim problem with tickets.

I think jbt95 is right on this, i.e. unless you need the cash, there's not much point cancelling your tickets yet. Who knows, the games could all get moved to Wembley or somewhere else close by and then you may have cashed in unnecessarily.

I can see the attraction in cancelling tickets now and then rebuying as and when the tournament goes ahead. I don't think it would be difficult to get tickets next summer for any of the games. I'd also rather have the money in my bank account than UEFA's. They are currently promising refunds but over the past month I've seen plenty of other organisations and companies change their T&Cs and suddenly stop offering refunds (despite what the law says). And once the EU exit transition ends in December it will be more difficult to take a small claims court action to get your money back (if you hadn't paid by credit card).

How can they announce confirmation of matches and locations when the pandemic is still ongoing?

What if they are in Cardiff, London or Manchester? Why cash in your 30€ tickets for games in Azerbaijan unless you are desperate for cash?

So how much interest will your bank account give you with base rate at 0.1%.
Small claims court will not have changed and as UK FA's are members of UEFA then no chance they will just run with the money.
It will run in some way shape of form and if it runs next years just in 1 country then holding existing tickets means you are in a better position to swap than applying again.
UEFA will look after fans who have existing tickets first rather than a wholescale refund and reapplication process.

I think we had a different level of faith in the football authorities and that they always put fans high up their list of priorities!

I think we had a different level of faith in the football authorities and that they always put fans high up their list of priorities! How would it look if UEFA didn't refund the fans? Sponsorship and broadcast revenue would plummet. They would get hounded in the press and by national associations which make up the organisation. Can't believe anybody would believe UEFA won't give a 100% refund.

I take the point for people who only had one ticket for Azerbaijan but say you've spent £400 on follow my team. I can well imagine some people would rather have that cash safe in their own bank account and then take a punt on getting tickets further down the road when the portals re-open. The current noise from UEFA is for the tournament to go ahead as planned with the same venues. Baku have already confirmed they intend to host games next summer so I think it's unlikely to see games in Cardiff.

Things are going to have to improve hugely for me to consider a trip to Azerbaijan next June as a safe prospect. They may be fairing comparatively well at the moment but that's more than likely them keeping the virus out rather than dealing with it. A cough, a sneeze or a raised temperature at the airport and your stuck there for god knows how long. Being sick enough to need hospital treatment doesn't even bare thinking about. At least in western Europe you could probably get back overland. If the insurance industry omit coronavirus cover from their policies next year then nobodies going anywhere. I haven't applied for a refund yet but probably will at some time.

I had a follow my team ticket approx £420 worth. I’m not sure now if I’d want to spend a week in Baku for various reasons.....
The virus is a significant factor which has put me off staying in shitty crappy hotels in Baku. Another factor was the way they tried ripping off Welsh fans for hotels. Plus the sheer hard work of 9 flights in ten days. So at this moment if the tournament was to go ahead I would not be travelling ( no doubt quite a few others feel the same)

I can see a completely different format being decided upon. All the games in England or Germany would suit me fine

That's a UEFA exc meeting yes, but I doubt we will see much on the plans for a while after that to be honest.

That's why I applied for a ticket refund on the two matches out there & cut my losses. However I retained my Wales Italy tickets

Same. I can't be bothered with the return and re-buying process. As I want to go, there is little benefit to me, personally in returning the tickets so am holding onto them.
I do hope the tournament's moved though, preferably closer to home!
