Did well in the recent U23s game against Swansea. Promising signs that he’s made it into the match day squad.

Anyone know how tall Colwill is? He towers over McCarthy!

Anyone know how tall Colwill is? He towers over McCarthy! Google says Colwill is 6ft & McCarthy is 6ft 1. But a Wales Online article says apparently Colwill has shot up in height over the past couple of years, who know maybe he has continued to grow & overtaken McCarthy

Came on for Moore and played 15 mins leading the line for Cardiff. I've only see him play CM or 10 for the youth so this is an interesting development.

My friend who watches the Cardiff age groups a lot raves about him. Compared his playing style to Kaka the way he dribbles past people. Here's hoping he gets plenty of minutes to end this season

Good sign, but let's see if he gets anywhere near the team at the start of next season before getting excited..
Unfortunately I think Mccarthy will go the journeyman and loan route

Unfortunately I think Mccarthy will go the journeyman and loan route It's club policy now to promote the youth, so I expect more of a reliance on youth and Mick will have been told that before taking the job. I hope Colwill does get a shot, I think he could be a great player for Wales

Hardly club policy, nothing to play for and still hardly playing any youngsters.
Don't believe all the club tell you.
Mccarthy will get the experienced players in

And Warnock? It's much better in terms of players in the match day squad Warnock didn't play any or have any in the match day squad. Harris only played M.Harris and Bagan when he was absolutely forced to Since McCarthy has come in Bagan, Sang, Watters, Colwill, Harris have all had minutes. It's definitely a move in the right direction

Mixed showing from Colwill, some bright spots but had a difficult time, City were crap first half though. He got hooked halftime.
Harris had a cracking game.

What a year for young Colwill, feels like he’s come from no where this season. It’s unlikely he’ll play but to be on the plane shows he’s in their plans for the future. Exciting times.

My mate was messaging me raving about him after watching him several times in the youth teams for Cardiff whilst he was on furlough. Kept saying he's the Welsh Kaka. Looks like he's been proven right, great spot. Buzzing for Colwill too

I remember seeing Colwill for Cardiff against Birmingham. He is a good player and he set up the goal for Mark Harris. The reasoning for his inclusion from Page makes sense when the guy can play in multiple positions, showed an excellent attitude during the camp and it also benefits that no-one outside of Wales knows about this guy. He must have made a hell of an impression to be picked ahead of players who have international experience and who have already been in the squad. I can guarantee you Colwill wasn't expecting to be picked and thought he was just there for the experience like Roberts, Woodburn and Ampadu were 5 years ago.
I am excited to see what this guy could possibly do in a major tournament for us.

interesting facts
Rubin Colwill was on standby for the Wales Under 19/20 squad in October 2020, and he is now in the Wales Senior squad for the Euros
Rob Page would have first seen Rubin Colwill in a Uefa u16 tournament in Greece in 2018

Fully expecting him to get a runout against Albania mind, what an experience. Hope he can prove to all fans why he's there.
