If Wrexham go up this season, and then Mullin continues to score at a good rate then I think it's reasonable to discuss a call up he has already been top scorer in that league season before last

Mullin has been top scorer in league two, was a league 1 player and turned down moves to championship clubs when he signed for WrexhamI wouldn't see him as a starter for wales but maybe as a squad member as back up Isn't that the problem though? cant blame him for wanting to stay at home with family rather than live in a bedsit somewhere away from his family for the same wage he would of got in that league

But you can't have it both ways can you?
You can claim to be Championship standard all you like, but when you're not playing at that level then how will anyone know? Besides, we have strikers that have spent years in the English second tier who never really got a look in.

I don't think anyone is saying that Mullin should become our first choice striker, more that he's worth a look when the other options aren't exactly setting the World on fire.

If all these Championship clubs are interested in him then he should move. Its not as if he would be going up a division, it would be three divisions and dont tell me he cant earn what he does now in the second tier. My hunch is there just isn't that interest in him, and he's very comfortable at Wrexham.
Also stop comparing Moore with Mullin, it doesn't help your argument. Moore had scored a bucketload in League one when he played for Wales, smashed up the Championship and looks very at ease in the prem. Mullin hasn't even played at league one standard to date!
I think Garynysmon is spot on here, if a Welsh lad had scored 25 goals for Bromley in the 5th tier at aged 28, he wouldn't be mentioned on here.

I can understand it to a degree. Wrexham are on a roll, essentially the darlings of the Welsh media and enjoying unprecedented attention and adulation. Everyone wants to get onto the bandwagon and I’m sure an international call-up would be good PR and great for the documentary.
So its easy to get carried away with it all (despite a glaring lack of Welsh players, which no one seems to want to mention). But still we’re talking a 28 year old non-league striker.
I’d imagine Jordan Davies has more chance of a future cap than Mullin does.

I don't think anyone has claimed hes championship standard but he was offered the opportunity to play there and decided to stay living at home with his family as there was no financial loss, personally watching him every week i dont think hes good enough probably league one is his level

he was offered deals at two championship clubs, as well as an offer to stay at his then current club in league one when he signed for Wrexham

Well he should have taken the deals at Championship level if he had any desire to further his career or play internationally. He probably picked Wrexham as he was excited by the project (noting wrong with that) and probably realised he may not be up to Championship level and would rather earn slightly less cash smashing up non-league.
Not sure about the family argument, he was at Cambridge before this. A long way from Wrexham. Besides, there's a lot of clubs within driving distance of Wrexham playing at a much higher level.

One of the reasons he wanted to leave Cambridge was the fact that he was away from his family.
In the documentary it mentions the fact that the only reason Wrexham have a chance of signing him was the fact that he wanted to be closer to home.

Yeah nice fee touches early on, and he's faster than I expected him to be

If Dalby didn't get that Mullin was ready to pop up at the back post, either way who cares, get in!

Fantastic start! Going toe to toe with them and two goals to show for it!

Yeah nice fee touches early on, and he's faster than I expected him to be Yeah I thought he showed good anticipation to read the early back pass and then it surprised me how quickly he was on to the keeper pressurising him and then later he gave the full back a hell of a head start chasing a lost cause and the full back ended up having a real tussle to stop him making something of it.

Assist for Mullin

He's not scored, he's not assisted but he's been very tenacious and looks like a very annoying player to have to defend against.

That was Dalby wasn't it? That's the disappointing thing for me, three goals but I don't think he's been involved in any of them. Hope he gets a chance in the second half as it looks like there are more goals in this for Wrexham.

Good penalty, nice body shape and you can see why the keeper went the wrong way. Pleased for him.

I was watching like a hawk on the replay to see if it was Mullin and the bloke who heads the ball across the box was wearing number 18 with the name Dalby

Playing on a pitch like this is definitely benefiting them. Mullin has looked good, he was unlucky not to get a free kick just now following a lovely touch around the defender, he looks like he's got a very good footalling brain.

The question I'm wondering is whether he would look out of place against, say, Latvia

The question I'm wondering is whether he would look out of place against, say, Latvia If he was Latvian and playing for them he'd cause us trouble, there is a touch of Marian Pahars about him!

So there we have it, he played a little over an hour against a half decent Championship side, caused them a few problems, showed some nice touches and quick thinking, that I think became more apparent when he wasn't on the pitch, and he scored a well taken penalty. He's not Kylian Mbappe but he is certainly someone who I think could do a job for us at some point, probably mainly from the bench depending on how his career goes and for a 4-5 year period but we should be living in the now as well as preparing for tomorrow.

He impressed me to be honest. He's very clearly not just a box player, but obviously given his record he is very useful in the box too. Tonight his build up play was great, he'd drop team and link things with some quality touches, he'd also run in behind and was quicker than I expected
His ability on the ball seemed far superior than Mark Harris, who I watched last week against Birmingham, which begs the question who would be the better impact player? I really wish we had a friendly coming up soon, as I'd like to see Mullin given a run out
If Wrexham go up this year then his case only increases, maybe if they kill a few more giants too - fingers crossed for a decent draw!
