FAW tweeted to say there’s an issue with the fixture lists so to disregard them for now. Careful if you’re looking at flights currently, we almost paid for Istanbul. We were waiting on Croatia and Turkey because they both rotate fixtures around the country. But we've booked Latvia, as Riga was a cert ....

Arguably the euros is already broken as a 24 team format doesn’t really work. The format is a bit awkward, but at least the achievement of qualification isn't totally devalued. That's what would happen if you go to 32 teams. There are only 55 nations in UEFA! Less than I thought. When over half the confederation qualify I think it’s safe to say the plot has been lost.

Yeah we’re taking a bit of a risk on Turkey but figure it’s either in Istanbul and if it’s far we’ll just take a domestic flight, don’t seem to be overly expensive. Didn’t even realise flights were available for Latvia yet, might have to take a look tomorrow.

National associations have the possibility to request to UEFA to consider that they will not be able to host a home match on certain dates, for example due to national or religious holidays, stadium unavailability or an overlap with another major national event. All NAs have provided UEFA with feedback on the dates during they wish not to host. The following categories of restrictions have been noted: • Stadium unavailability: AUT, BEL, CYP, CZE, ENG, POL, WAL • Religious or state holidays: AND, AZE, CRO, ESP, GIB, GRE, ISR, • Restricitions related to other major / UEFA events: BEL, DEN, EST, FRA, GEO, LIE, MLT, ROU, SMR, SVN, WAL
Wonder what ours were?
There’s no international rugby on in Wales when the international football windows are, and we were due to host Armenia in June.
Harry Styles is playing the Principality on Tuesday 20th June but that wouldn’t be stadium unavailability.

Who are these millionaire booking flights 6 weeks before the most expensive World Cup in history?! I'm presuming most of them don't have a wife or kids!! Quite the opposite. From what I can see on Facebook, it's mainly people who were trying to save in the long term, getting in early and booking relatively cheap direct flights. Especially for Latvia. Don't know of anyone who has booked anything for Armenia yet though. I'm not sure I would have taken a risk on Croatia or Turkey given we have no idea yet in which cities those matches will be staged.

All times are UK timezones. Saturday 25 March 19:45 Croatia v Cymru Tuesday 28 March 19:45 Cymru v Latvia Friday 16 June 19:45 Cymru v Armenia Monday 19 June 19:45 Turkey v Cymru Monday 11 September 19:45 Latvia v Cymru Sunday 15 October 19:45 Cymru v Croatia Saturday 18 November 14:00 Armenia v Cymru Tuesday 21 November 19:45 Cymru v Turkey FAW have played a blinder getting our most difficult fixture out the way first, and getting a potential decider at home in the final game, under the lights. Seems like we always get that final fixture at home, e.g Hungary home to decide Euro 2020, Finland home to decide NL, Belgium home to secure a playoff for WC, Poland home in the NL

I notice Belgium and Poland, who are also bidding, are also on the list for stadium unavailability.

Turkey is the only tricky one, hem or Sweden were the ones I did not want from pot4. They are a very hit and miss side, and I expect them to be our main challengers. Hopefully we can win our home games, beat Armenia and Estonia away. We must not lose to both Croatia and Turkey away if we are to qualify. Glad Page has said he is targeting top, gone are the days of hoping to finish 3rd for the Euro 2016 Playoff! We lost to Croatia and Hungary away in 2019 and automatically qualified. Get 10 points at home and get 4-8 away. Job done. True, but other seeds were stronger and 4 from that group qualified, with Hungary and Slovakia. It was a tougher group where points were dropped elsewhere, thats not going to happen this time. Its a straight 3 way between us, Croatia and Turkey I feel.

Hello Welsh friends. Here are some informations if this is of any help: Armenia-Croatia is due to be played on our state holiday 18/11 so maybe that is the problem but just maybe. Croatia-Wales match will be played in Osijek 99% as the new stadium there is to be finished in January at the latest so this would be a great opportunity to open the stadium, also our FA already made some suggestions this would happen Only other option is Split, Zagreb will definitely NOT host the game. For all of you it is best to book flights to Zagreb and then use flixbus to Osijek (3h drive, 15euros), or to Split (5h drive, 15-20euros). Bus prices are literally the same if you book 6 months in advance or two weeks in advance so no need to hurry for it. I am curious whether you know the where the match Wales-Croatia will be played, in Swansea or Cardiff, and in which stadium? Thank you. If you need any more help feel free to contact.

I suspect they'll be especially up for nicking something against the Turkish.

Capacity of stadium in Zagreb is reduced to 22,000 due to earthquake 2 years ago, and it only gets worse (shape and condition of stadium). We recently played Denmark there, what is said to be the last game there until new solution in Zagreb comes up. Only two candidates for bigger games are Split and Osijek, with Split definitely to host Turkey and Osijek to host Wales if it is the first game. If we were to play Wales after our home match against Armenia/Latvia, then I would be sure Wales would also play in Split due to bigger capacity. Only thing sure is we open in Osijek against whoever in march.
