I reckon it'll be 23 man squad
Ward, Davies, Darlow (3)
Roberts, Neco, Stevens, Da Silva, Rodon, Mepham, Cabango, Davies (8)
Ampadu, Ramsey, J. James, Sheehan (4)
Brennan, James, Wilson, Colwill, Matondo, Koumas (6)
Moore, Cullen (2)

I'd be surprised if Mark Harris isn't in there
And how about Savage and Luke Harris? Getting regular minutes in League 1 now

I reckon it'll be 23 man squad It's a 23 matchday squad, so if we had injuries/withdrawals we would have nobody spare and not have a 12 man bench. I would think at least 25.

Bellamy naming a new captain at all? Or assuming Ramsey

Bellamy naming a new captain at all? Or assuming Ramsey I would personally go with Amapadu. Ramsey was never a captain anyway. the only alternative is Davies but maybe we need to look to the future at this juncture/

I’ll be surprised if he sticks with Ramsey as captain

It was silly by Page to give Ramsey the captain - symptomatic perhaps of Page’s tendencies for comfort.
Ampadu or Ben Davies for me too.

Ben Davies the better captain choice in my opinion, especially given I wouldn't start Ramsey anymore. Ben is a lock to start for the next 2 campaigns and is a good leader on the pitch

Ampadu for me

I always felt like giving Ramsey the captaincy was what convinced him not to retire like Bale and Allen. Take it off him and he might decide to pack it in, not the end of the world but would rather we still had the option of him available.

You don't need to be captain to be a major influence on the squad on and off the pitch - which I'm sure Ramsey is. He is a Wales legend but needs to be used more sparingly now - especially in the Nations League as that is a good opportunity to plan for the future/ experiment before qualifiers

I hope we don't treat this campaign as a bunch of friendlies. Grab the campaign by the bollocks...try and win the group and get ourselves a play off spot. It gives us a free hit at Qualifiers next year then.

Ampadu for me Davies will get plenty of games this season for Spurs. They have Europe, they will get injuries, they'll need fresh legs - just like last season. Davies was one of our few bonafide top flight players, same is true this season even if he's not first choice at Spurs

Diolch. No real surprises then. Looks to be picking on form and omissions will largely strengthen the U21s. Keeper choice could well be down to who shows up best in training.

Good squad thought I saw it'd be a smaller squad and looks like the case.
Interesting no Colwill assuming he'll be under 21s?

24 man squad. Imagine Bellamy has gone with a smaller squad as he has a lot of ideas he wants to impart
Would be excited to see a lineup like this...
GK Neco-Rodon-Davies-Beck JJ-Ampadu Brennan-Wilson-DJ Koumas

Yes, smaller squad than the usual 26+ players (posted by myself) makes you think Bellamy can work with 21 outfield players in camp rather than the 23+

Squad released: Darlow, Beck, Cooper, Sorba, Harris, Cullen and Matondo all included Colwill over Cooper, and Joe Taylor over Cullen for me, but good overall. Hopefully both with u21s.
