Why Ireland are involved I don't know. They are nothing to do with the United Kingdom but seem to involved themselves in things like this. Why would Scotland and Wales agree to their involvement - we should have been selfish and looked after our own interests [br England should've been left well out of the bid.

Extend Swansea and Windsor Park to 30k and you could've had:
Mill Stad Hampden Aviva Stadium Celtic Park Ibrox CCS Liberty Windsor Murrayfield
Then Croke Park if they allowed it (I imagine they'd follow the cash). Would be class.

3 grounds in Glasgow might be a mighty stretch mind, perhaps they'd need to extend one of the others in Edinburgh or even Wrexham.

Would be class. Isn't the rule you can't have 2 stadiums in 1 city unless they are a certain distance apart? That's why we couldn't put forward the 2 Cardiff stadiums If you wanted to do a Celtic bid you'd have to include Brittany, so Roazhon Park and maybe another one would be good

Glasgow ones are probably too close, as are Croke Park and the Aviva. You need a total of 7 grounds over 40k capacity too, so even with Roazhon Park in the mix it probably falls down there. Shame.

Would be class. Not this bull again. Swansea don’t want or need a 30k stadium. Look at Cardiff. Windsor Park has just been redeveloped. Can only use 1 stadium per city, with one exception.

No need to keep going on about England not being part of the bid. Was always gonna be. Where would the 24 teams train if not in England either. Friggin Bala Town?!

Without looking back over 8 pages and at the risk of another argument, I can't help but wonder if ROI as joint hosts would feel they should be entitled to one of the 2 host slots?...

If that happened then I hope we would firmly tell them where to shove it.
We did not need them and including them may cost us a spot in our home European Championships. I can't imagine they would even be that arrogant seeing how lucky they are to be part of the joint bid in the first place. I assume Northern Ireland were pushing for their inclusion

That'd be one hell of a day opening the tournament in Cardiff. There'd be some ale going down that day.

Can't be the only one a bit gutted about this, aren't opening game tickets like three or four times the cost? It'll be good to have it in Cardiff but it'll be annoying to have to pay well of the odds to watch a crappy opening ceremony. Assuming we qualify, of course.

I'm sure there will be a loyalty scheme to get us in there. If the roof's closed we've probably got a good chance of breaking the Guinness world record of loudest rendition of a national anthem ever recorded, so I'd imagine the FAW would want to make that happen

Went out to watch the France v Dutch game Friday and was talking with my friends about the 2028 tournament.
Surely there should be 3 teams allowed a back up spot? The 2008 & 2012 16-team editions had 2 hosts both with automatic qualification. Now with 24, it should be 3!

At least a lot of fans won’t need hotels, even those from the north could catch a train or bus home. Tickets were 50 (30), 195 (60), 400 (150) and 600 (200) EUR for the opener (usual group phase prices in brackets).

Then can go either way!

Who knows maybe TfW will put on extra carriages and later trains after a Euros game, miracles do happen!

They’ve made improvements already in all fairness when there’s evening games.

Why do I get the feeling that the people with tournament tickets for the qualifiers will find it hard to get tickets for the games in the Millennium Stadium, despite it being twice the size?
