Just heard Tierney out for season. Knee injury. Would that be a massive blow for Scotland? I think Robertson same position so no a disaster for them imo

Any bets the Jocks will push for a September date more now? Lol

That's certainly a blow, I'm not sure if they have a decent replacement at LCB.

I love how everyone has gone onto Noel Mooney’s Twitter asking him to avoid certain dates haha.
I can’t imagine him negotiating with the opposition and UEFA and saying we can’t have the 9th as someone has a wedding and someone else is on holiday from the 3rd to the 8th, oh and someone called Terry69 has just tweeted that he can’t get Thursdays off.

It's a huge blow for them, Robertson and Tierney are the only two defenders they have capable of handling top level football. They call up mid table defenders from the SPL, we can really get at them with our pacey and vibrant attackers.

Tierney, for me, is their best player. Having him and Robertson down the left would make it very difficult to create anything on that side, whilst he's also very good on the ball. I think it would move the odds significantly in our favour. Not going to get my hopes up until I hear confirmation though!

Whatever happens I have a feeling that Brennan Johnson is going to do something against whoever we play, we've got so much pace in the squad, it's given me more confidence in us than I've had since Euro 2016, we're a potential horrible nights work for any defence in the World.

They have a young up and coming left back who is playing top flight football for Bologna. Aaron Hickey is their very own Neco Williams, as I believe he can also play on the right. One to watch.

Plenty of time for one of ours to get crocked yet so I’m not getting too worked up about Scottish injuries.
Although speaking of which I’m surprised there is no update on whether Moore might be available seeing as the final has been delayed…

I have a feeling that Moore will be an option from the bench if he's available, I felt that the attacking set up against Austria was a lot better than the scoreline suggested, it could have very easily been 5 or 6-1.

Whilst this is true, there have been other games where one holding midfielder has been a car crash (estonia away?)

I was going to book some cheap deals away for those Nations League away days but I'm glad I didn't now. I hate to say it but at some point, if Ukraine are unable to fulfil a fixture, they're just going to have to be forfeited, Scotland can be the evil ones getting a bye and we'll batter them.

Nothing confirmed yet just more hearsay in the media at the moment It’s hard to know whether the Polish manager is simply saying that all games are being reviewed so no game is safe or whether he’s been told that the Wales game is the one most likely to be changed. I’ve always thought that the Polish one is the one most likely to be safe as Scotland Ukraine would need to be played around then but I’ve doubts now. I suppose that if we’ve got to play an extra game and Scotland/Ukraine have to play two extra games, then the international window will have to be extended and if it’s extended then it makes sense to extend at the start of the window rather than tag it onto the end (and therefore make other teams play outside the window)

Tierney is a big blow for Scotland, if he's out for the game. He's generally suffered from injury proneness for a while now, even in his Celtic days.
He plays as left centre-back, and they haven't got an awful lot of quality there as cover. McTominay's been filling in there, and they've got options like Jack Hendry, Liam Cooper, Scott McKenna and Grant Hanley if they're all fit.

Dynamo Kyiv are planning to play friendlies against various European clubs after this season is finished. Interesting. Not sure what team they would field. The national team had plenty of call ups of Dynamo players. Barcelona and PSG amongst them, don't rule Ukraine out. Around half of their call-ups play for Dynamo. They have a few from Shakhtar as well, I'm not sure what their plans are.

I realize it's a difficult decision, I've got flights booked myself.I guess if this latest statement is correct, might make sense as it would interfere less with players returning to their clubs preparing for the new season. If they decided to extend the international window, a lot of clubs would be unhappy about this?

Nathan Patterson (Tierny back up) at Everton has to have an operation on his ankle, most likely putting him out for the rest of the season.
