So if we get there.... Monday 21/11. USA Friday. 25/11. Iran Tuesday 29/11. England Does anyone know what local time these games are going be showed? All being announced tomorrow, with what stadiums the games will be at. The opening game is 1300 local time, so the USA game will kick off no earlier than 1600 local time. Stadiums for Group B - Al Bayt Stadium (60k), Khalifa International Stadium (40k), Al Thumama Stadium (40k), Ahmad bin Ali Stadium (45k). Our USA game cannot be in Al Bayt Stadium as that is for Qatar v Ecuador the same day.

Its great for our chances of progressing but such a dull draw in terms of mixing with the opposition fans. No South American or African teams, no Korea or Japan. Boring. Yeah, agreed. Not arsed if we qualify. Shit World Cup, boring draw. Pretty under whelming after waiting so long to be in this position. We just got to get there.

Whether people get to travel in numbers or not, they're boring teams compared to the colour and noise you get from S American and African teams. When was the last time we played a west African team or a Latin American team competitively?
This was the chance. Boring.
Edit: apologies for putting a dampener on it, if we qualify I'll be bouncing off the walls for weeks anyway.

There are four fixtures on the first day so I imagine if the opening game is 13:00 that Netherlands KO at 15:00 then European play off winner/ England at 17:00 & 19:00. Crazy amount of games for the first day

It’s a very global draw…but to not get a South American team and draw the USA who we’ve played recently…it will be disappointing after such a long wait. I’d almost want to be in Argentina’s group even though it’s a nightmare just because playing SA’s best is what a World Cup should be all about.

Anyone going will get the chance to mix with whatever fans they want when they get back to their tents after the game(s). Qatar's about the size of Powys. Personally I'm pretty stoked, that's a groups we can get out of (should we qualify).

Already dreading having to mix with the Ingerland bunch if we get there....decent enough draw for progressing to the next round though.

High time we put one over Ingerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrland. Not a bad draw overall if we actually do qualify, could have been a lot worse.

A dreadful World Cup gets even worse! I actually won’t be disappointed if we don’t get there seeing that draw. But if we do then we surely have a good chance of getting out of the group. Would have really liked Argentina or Brazil though 😢 I agree, I'll be gutted if this is the World Cup we qualify for. Iran is the only game I'd sort of fancy going to but still with it being in Qatar I can't get excited! Maybe my mood will change when we reach the final.

Doesn't feel quite as special knowing I'm not going. It would trump not being there though. I'll hopefully be in the fanzines!

Probably be Senegal though, or Qatar if they've bought the refs.

One thing that has got me wondering might be a positive, we’ve waited so long for a finals appearance and (should we get there), is England v Wales the biggest game of the group stage from a global perspective? Germany v Spain will be close, as will US v Iran (although for political reasons) but I’m sure the world will be aware of the “derby” nature of England Vs Wales, or Scotland for that matter, making it the most intriguing game of all the group stage ties. It would be a much bigger game than the Euros instalment should we get there.

Just replace them with us obviously: Remember the last time they had a "soft" group at the WC. They squeezed through drawing 2 games then got smashed by the Germans in the last 16. Attachments:

Can you imagine drawing against USA and needing a result against an England team already through

By contrast to us Scotland are loving drawing England, running right towards it Some being very kind about both our chances if either of us gets through. Have to agree really, both teams will be eyeing up second place if not better. Gotta get through though.
