Would rather play Cabango than Gunter Cabango will be a risk BUT HE IS A CENTRAL DEFENDER and Gunter is not. He is also playing at a much higher level than Gunter now and has been for the past two years. Don't given me that rubbish that Gunter adds experience - his experience did not help us when he gifted Belarus the opportunity of a result against us and was all at sea for the Dutch equaliser against us late into injury time. His time has passed and we need to develop Cabango for the future to bolster our options. Cabango is far better at defending crosses (6ft 2in vs 5ft 11in) which is important given how good Lewandoski is in the air, far more powerful, far faster and more likely to nick a goal from a cross in the opposition area. The only thing arguing in favour of Gunter is positioning and decision making but again he is NOT naturally a centre back and his decision making / positioning is not at a consistently high enough level to pose a strong argument given the errors noted above. Time to move on Page - why Gunter is going to Qatar still seems wrong to me as there is zero merit in the decision (but lets not have that argument again - Cabango in my view is the better option at centre defence - that is my main argument) I can't remember who it was against but one match it was like he was playing on ice. Constantly slipping and mis stepping. He will obviously get another chance and I know it's bad to judge him on that, but I don't look forward to seeing him in such a massive game for us.

Neco at CM? So then we are without the first choice LB. What a fantastic idea! I think the quality in CM is dropping off a cliff with the suspensions. I'd rather play Thomas at leftback and give Neco a go in the middle than play Smith again.

Time to throw Jordan James in and see what he's all about.

Colwill and Jordan James added to the 23, Luke Harris and Rabbi miss out.

As I said on his thread - personally would have preferred Harris on the bench as he carries more goal threat than our other midfielders and most of our backup forwards! Am disappointed he has get no minutes in these two games - as soon as we avoided being hammered - the Belgium game became irrelevant in the scheme of things.

I've no idea how we line up tonight , I suppose it depends on whether Bale starts, but I'd pack the midfield which was far too open against Belgium.

A win (of any description) tonight is all-important from the standpoint of morale going forward to the World Cup.
Dan James is bound to have a better game than he did in Brussels, and if Brennan and Kieffer can combine well again.. I'm quietly hopeful of a 2-0 victory.
Keep the shackles on Lewandowski, though!
CYMRU AM BYTH!!

Play the strongest team we have available. Never understood this bollocks of not starting Bale. If the guy is in the squad, play him.

That’s still not a reason to play one of our better players out of position. Well to be fair that's up to individual opinion. Bale started as Left Back, we played him CM against Russia when he wasn't playing there, I'm sure we started pushing him forward before Spurs did. Ampadu is constantly being moved around the pitch and asked to do a job. I personally would rather move Neco and put Thomas in than put in Smith who was pretty much a hologram against Belgium. Either way the midfield tonight isn't going to be pretty. I do think Neco will start wing back with probably Jonny Williams CM, but Williams and Morrell would be seriously short of physicality.

Would Lee Evans start if he was included in the squad in the first place? I got no idea how good he is. I find it strange he's late 20's with a couple of caps and the likes of Levitt and Smith have had a run before him. He just seems one of those who isn't fancied in the squad for whatever reason.

I know this sounds insane..... but I’d start Colwill. Colwill and Johnson have great chemistry and Colwill has something to prove. They could be lethal together

They could be lethal together Its not insane, he’s probably one of the better options at that role behind the strikers. Something like this maybe; Roberts - Morrell - James - Neco Colwill Johnson - Bale/James Its a tough decision who to select in that front 2/3 role. We have Bale, Kieffer, Brennan, James and Colwill as options. It may be difficult leaving out Kieffer with his goal scoring record. Johnson has to start imo. I still think theres a role out there for Dan James at wing back.

Prove us all wrong Cabango. I hope he does. I've not wanted to see him start but hopefully this'll be the game that makes him for Wales. I can't help but be a little disappointed for Moore. I thought he was excellent against Belgium and got the goal.

Prove us all wrong Cabango. Yeah, he needs to be on top form to keep Lewandowski and co quiet. Tests don't get much sterner than that!

The good thing is that Cabango played his best football with Rodon at Swansea, Rodon is with him tonight and knows him well. Morrell and Levitt together scares me a bit, one is okay but both starting is a potential mess.

I’m embarrassed for Poland. What a bunch of fannies How do you mean “fannies”? It’s a tactical ploy. Yes it’s annoying, but it’s just a way of breaking momentum. They not actually complaining they’re hurt you know.

They not actually complaining they’re hurt you know. They're rolling around holding their head all the freaking time, the fact they aren't injured is why I said they are a bunch of fannies. I get that every team does it but I've rarely seen it to this extent, the ball was hardly in play for 5 minutes at one point because they kept falling over every time they were touched. I'd say the same if Wales were doing it to this extent, it's like watching Atletico Madrid but on steroids.

Fair play, Cabango has done really well. I've had doubts about Morrell too but he's been everywhere tonight.
Could we just sacrifice a day of training and focus 100% on teaching James to finish? Get Bale, Rush to show him stuff, tell Henry has pro licence will be cancelled if his doesn't help turn James into a finisher. Whatever it takes.
