"Yeah we were unlucky against Iran. I think it showed that we were in control of the game and the red card came against the run of play. Losing a player is never easy and with the heat the boys had been playing in we were a bit drained having to cover the sending off" "Just one change Allen for Ampadu. He's had a good tournament and with having so many matches in a short space of time we've decided to freshen things up" |

It doesn't matter what Bale and Ramsey might want to do on a pitch, they can't do it anymore, not in open play, so if they're going to play we and they are just going to have to accept that they are now ordinary. I think we're going to need a period of rebuilding now, we're going stale.

I can’t believe people are saying Allen should start. He’s not fit and we’ve already got too many passengers. Morrell and Ampadu must play if fit. I’m a big fan of Colwill, but he’s played even less than Ramsey lately, hasn’t he? It’s a shame Cooper isn’t in the squad because his workrate and energy is exactly what we’ll need. Could Harris play in that role? It’s not so much the creativity we’ll need but the energy and workrate.
I just hope Page picks a team who can work hard, run all day, and provide some kind of challenge. If he goes with half fit players ambling around at walking pace, then England will murder us.

We’ve been pathetic apart from a 15 min spell in the second half against USA. A better side would have been 3 or 4 goals out of sight by half time. Page loyalty has exposed us for the ageing squad that he picked. Zero energy ,no legs and unable to string 2 passes together. |

I'd shift Dan James to LM, and put Sorba at RM. Hell I'd even put Neco at RM, and get Roberts on at RB. Maybe a 4-3-3 Defence as above: Ampadu - Morrell - J Williams James - Moore - Johnson |

Allen come in and Ramsey Wilson drop out. Then at least 1 passenger fewer. And he got fresh legs now- i think after a few days of training he will be fine |

Would it hurt for the negativity to drop a little? We're all gutted but it doesn't do anyone any favours to be so angry about this, there's bigger things in the World than what Wales do in a World Cup and to be honest I'm still enjoying it, I never thought I'd see these days. 29 years ago a penalty hit the bar and with it went all hope, we've qualified for back to back tournaments, we put in a very heartwarming second half display against the US, we just got it all wrong today against an Iran side that really showed up, that wasn't the Iran that were passive and laid over for a half arsed England side, that was the Iran people were talking about as potential dark horses to get out of the group. We could still spring a surprise against England, keep the faith, it's more fun that way.

I’m normally a real pessimist when it comes to my club and Wales due to decades of disappointments
But I’m oddly optimistic about this game
1 - We have to turn them over sooner or later
2 - I have a feeling that this could be our ‘Belgium at the 2016 Euros’ game
3 - We’ve nothing to lose as we’re totally underdogs and the pressure is off us IMO. Players won’t be so jittery
4- Our pride as it’s v England will give us that extra few % we’ll need
5 - The Red Wall will make more noise as we’ll all have had a drink
6 - God is Welsh and he’s going to give us the nod on Tuesday 😉
