Anyone been to Riga before and have any tips please? Not interested in Irish/British bars. Thanks! The marketplace is very impressive - it's made up of what appear to be old aircraft hangars and there are about five of them, the market is inside and all around these. There were some great places to eat and drink inside and outside the hangars if the weather's ok. It's a great city to just walk around, picturesque old town and if you wander across the river from old town is a nice walk full of parkland and some impressive old monuments from the Soviet era. The KGB museum is worth a visit as well, if you're interested in that sort of thing. As for bars - I wasn't drinking much when I went but as you'd expect old town is where it's most expensive (similar prices to Tallinn) but has a high concentration of decent bars (and yes it has got it's fair share of Irish bars). There's some good bars and restaurants as you head away from old town past the market and the train station. This area does look a bit 'rougher' but it never felt unsafe.

Cymru v Fiji rugby WC game will be on the Sunday night, just like Slovakia four years ago. There’s bound to be a sports bar showing it, they’ll make a killing

I've been told that my new Samsung fone is super smart - and if their telly is also as smart, the Welsh language commentary will be the talk of the town that weekend :+)

Anyone found info on the allocation Turkey had for their game in Latvia last month?

Anyone found info on the allocation Turkey had for their game in Latvia last month? I'm struggling to find much information on Google. It appears Netherlands were allocated sections S, T, U and V in 2015. Similarly it looks like Hearts were given exactly the same for the game against Futbola Klubs RFS in September last year. Looking through this Hearts forum (https://www.hmfckickback.co.uk/index.php?/topic/197574-official-riga-travel-thread/page/13/) that was at least 924 tickets. Heavy suggestions that the Hearts ticket office dropped the ball slightly and didn't request enough so I think we can expect around 1000 tickets.

We will have a small amount of extra space coming very soon. It will be offered first to those on the reserve list and then any left over will go on general sale. Those on the reserve list will be emailed. General sale announcements will be via social media. To join the reserve list, visit wonkysheep.co.uk and go to the sold out Latvia trip on the Wales page of the website. You will be in the second group offered spaces after those on the original reserve list have had their turn. Please remember, every supporter needs to create their account on the new website and complete all their details (including passport) before you can link accounts and make a booking.

Can't find anything online either regarding the Turkish allocation.By looking at clips of their match v Latvia, it appears as though they had the whole of the stand facing the camera which holds about 950 which is the block and what Hearts received. If you add on the VIP or more expensive tickets FAW tend to secure we're looking between 1,000 - 1,200.My guess, based on how the last few aways have sold and it's a Monday night game, this'll sell out in the latter part of stage 3 or very early part of stage 4, but I might be totally wrong as well!!

Just booked! Held nerve hoping new flights would be released closer to the time because they were so out of our usual budget.
For anyone still tempted, Wizz Air have flights for around £110 to Riga from Luton for the game date

Ticket criteria is out:
Allocation We expect approx. 1,000 tickets to be available for Cymru supporters. These will be located in adjacent blocks T, U and V, with a small number of category 1 tickets available in block E of the stadium.
Ticket Pricing
Cymru End (Blocks T, U, V): £9.00 Category 1 (Block E): £22.00
No concession prices available.
Wheelchair Access and Accessible Seating Any supporters who require a ticket in a wheelchair bay should email tickets@faw.co.uk as soon as possible. The number of tickets available is limited for this match and the FAW’s loyalty scheme will be applied.
Seats with easier access, in both the main Cymru end and the cat. 1 area, have been kept aside for supporters who require them. If you would like to be sat in one of these seats, book online as normal, then email tickets@faw.co.uk to request a move. These seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Loyalty Scheme (Subject to Change) Based on the above allocation size, eligibility criteria have been put in place with the previous 11 away qualifying/friendly matches (excluding those matches played without away supporters) being considered. These matches are:
Türkiye v Cymru 19.06.23 Croatia v Cymru 25.03.23 Belgium v Cymru 22.09.22 Netherlands v Cymru 14.06.22 Poland v Cymru 01.06.22 Estonia v Cymru 11.10.21 Czech Republic v Cymru 08.10.21 Azerbaijan v Cymru 16.11.19 Slovakia v Cymru 10.10.19 Hungary v Cymru 11.06.2019 Croatia v Cymru 08.06.2019
The first stage of sales will be open to members of The Red Wall with 7 or more of these matches on their booking history. Supporters qualifying in this stage will be guaranteed a ticket provided they purchase in their priority window.
Subsequent stages will be open to supporters with 6, then 5, then 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 of these matches on their booking history, with a final stage being open to all Red Wall members. The second stage, open to supporters with 6 of these matches on their booking history, is guaranteed to take place but all stages following this are subject to availability.
Ticket Collection Due to the extremely high expected demand for tickets, a full ticket collection will be in place for this match. Ticket collections will take place from the Radisson Blu Ridzene, located in the centre of Riga, between 11am and 5pm on Sunday 10th and Monday 11th September. Supporters are advised to collect their tickets at the earliest opportunity.
All supporters allocated a ticket will need to collect. Lead bookers will not be able to collect on behalf of those they have purchased for.

So didn't go to Turkey myself and know it was primarily the hardcore usuals with a few topping up the lower levels, but the games needed for those tickets were (these figures are accumulative):
1,500 tickets in total for the game 1,250 already had at least 5 games on their account 1,670 had at least 4 games on their account 2,220 had at least 3 games on their account 3,000 had at least 2 games on their account 4,120 had at least 1 game on their account
(Edited to make slightly clearer)

Think I am either 4 or 5 so might struggle, still can't believe I got one for Croatia so the optimist in me is thinking I might scrape it, if I don't I will try my damnest to get one from a Latvian, failing that it's watching it in the pub 😁👍🤞🍺🏴

I've got no chance of a ticket for this and won't even try, just going for the trip, and if I can pick one up locally, that'll be great, I'll also see if I can pick up a hospitality ticket,I've registered with other Fa's before to get tickets, some aren't bothered who they sell to.

Another factor which might affect the numbers per stage for the Latvia game is the change in figures of those eligible following the Turkey match. From my understanding we sold about 1,200 tickets in total from our initial agreed allocation.

Gonna be tight this one. I have 5 of the eligible list (imo a Tuesday night November defeat at Elbasan in the soaking rain should be a permanent eligible fixture 😃) so find myself not in stage 1 for the first time in a long while. Travelling to but not getting tickets for Hungary / Croatia 2019 double header coming back to bite now.
Flights and hotel sorted so fingers crossed. Will be a good trip either way.

Strange feeling to be in stage 2 this time. Missing both Croatia matches and Turkey has cost me it seems.
I genuinely don't think I'll bother going without a ticket.

it shows that the collecting of tickets has has added more to the ladder, previously it was near impossible to get a ticket throu proper channels , as an example i was always in stage 4 and 5 now i have 9 out of 11 and this does not include the one i returned
so its a pain but works

It’s not even a pain for us really, more of a pain for FAW to implement but they do it to ensure a fair system
