What about that empty end behind the one goal? That's where they will move all the Welsh fans to who be scattered around the home end 😆 I can see a couple of thousand out there without tickets.

Can you good people ensure that before you buy away-end tickets, you have already: 1/. asked Lucy and Mathew to be placed on the waiting list - tickets@faw.co.uk 2/. gone physically to the hotel collection point on the last day of ticket collection, circa 30 minutes before before the final window for collection - there are ALWAYS a few dozen uncollected tickets!
Bon voyaje

Already asked. Entitlement to buy returns, or any additional tickets will not progress from stage 3 qualification for the foreseeable Quote, The Cymru ticket allocation for this match sold out shortly after stage 3 opened. There is no standby list in place but any returned tickets will go back on sale through this page to supporters who were eligible in stage 3. Given those circumstances, anyone below stage 3 and booked to travel, will obviously seek to make alternative arrangements, if at all possible. Does anyone know if Latvian home sales are open ?

Done the same research and the Passportix link only shows Latvian league games.. I can’t find tickets for the game on sale from any UK reseller searches, although later Latvia games in October show. Locals searching Viagogo in Latvia see home tickets for our game on sale @ 75 Euro each. I have them doing some more secret squirrel searching for me. Edit…update, erm no longer looking for tickets. Not as cheap as face value, but hey ho. Latvians are nice people.

Been keeping an eye out for a few weeks to buy four, but haven't seen them go on sale at all.

My contacts couldn’t find any current ticket sales showing on the Latvian FF ticketing site, or Passportix links I sent them. They’re not hard-core football fans, so wouldn’t be in the know. What they see on Viagogo is very different to results when searching over here. Maybe a VPN is needed ?

Why is this game so popular?
I get there’s a small allocation but it seems there’s more to it than that. Can’t actually be the football!

Cheap flights and a reputation as a boozy city probably We’re going for the game obviously, also the wonderfully cheap opera tickets. Carmen on Saturday night @ 8 Euro, is a bargain. Not everyone’s on the lash. Well, not until after the opera’s finished.

Samsun wasn’t that bad, one change and tbf plenty of options.

I really fancied visiting Riga, never been to Latvia, and the timing worked out really well. Just a shame (from a ticket perspective) that it's been so popular. Bit gutted as there's been a change to my flight, so instead of getting there early on 9th I won't get there until late evening. But hoping to pick up a home ticket, and if not just enjoy it in a pub with other fans.

Maybe I am confused with Armenia. I never looked into either as I knew I couldn’t make them.

Completely missed this going on sale. Been in Cuba for a couple of weeks and the internet was crap but nevermind I did Split and Samsun and I'm booked on for Yerevan so probably could do with watching one on the tele if only for the sake of my pocket. Although I've never been to any of the Baltic countries so quite fancied it.

I also noticed that the emails about the AWAY games going on sale seem to miss me, where the ladies and the home game fixtures get pumped into my inbox twice a day ... Maybe it's strict guidelines from Mr Mooney ...

Anyone know how much a pint is out there? It looks like a party city. Think because it can be a 3 day bender over a weekend that's why it's a popular away once the draw was made.

We flew to Riga two years ago and then caught a bus to Tallinn from Prague for the Estonia game. Great night out but was slightly more expensive than Cardiff at the time. Around €5.50 per pint back then but that was before the CoL crisis

They will not be playing folk Irish music nor be serving Boddington's ... I'd say, generally, look for the words "bar" and not "pub".
Same bars will usually stay open 24/7 and often serve Borscht soup with a massive slab of black bread with a side of Sauerkraut for €2 as well...

They are not the kind of bars our new “stag party” crowd enjoy.

Keep out of the “Karaoke “ bars in Riga. Young ladies will try and get you in there and ask you to buy them a drink. It will cost you £200-£300. Heavies will march you to the cash point if you can’t pay. USE CASH IN THE BARS. Keep out of the main touristy places and you will get beer for €2 . Or you can pay €6 in the square.

I hope I can get a slightly cheaper pint and usually there's a pub right next to the main Welsh base one which will sell for 2 Euros less and everyone drinks on the street anyway, but I'm going there for the atmosphere and to have a good time.
I might pop in for one on the way but sad to say I'm not going to go to a half empty local pub that's away from the atmosphere even if it's way cheaper.
